Hi to everyone who still somewhat regularly return to this thread, I know its been a while. I hope to finish the new sub very soon in the spare time I have. I apologize for the nearly 2 year wait, I am currently the only one working on the sub and have been since the original was uploaded and I am admittedly a slow and easily distracted worker. That being said I apologize in advance for oversights or issues that haven't yet to be found.
At this time I am:
-Finishing the smoke and flood detectors
-Optimizing ship performance
-Reworking the reactor for the gain in size
-Perfecting the self-detonation system
-Remaking shuttles that actually function properly
Also, I am returning to an outpost I made for fun a while back and want to revisit it, as well as a smaller/lighter sub that may make it on the workshop in the next few weeks.
Thank you to everyone that subscribed to this sub and those who stuck around for the Stromson Prime.

it's solved in the form of "this solution has a solution", the submarine has not been updated for over a long time as far as I know (I haven't checked)

Multiplayer -> Settings -> Vote Selection -> Click on the Stromson and it lets you pick the submarine despite the error. As far as I know there's no singleplayer work-around to select it there.

something may be wrong with the Stromson sub file. I've spent hours finding any mentions of the sounds pack and erasing them from the file/files. I will likely look over them once more when the Stromson Prime is uploaded. If i cannot fix it, i will upload another Stromson to the workshop and leave a note on this page to go download that one instead.

The Stromson Prime is almost complete, the new reactor is going in and the shuttles are being reworked as well as a few finishing touches.

I completely missed the fact that i was asked about what I mean, for that i apologise.
When i try to select the submarine in the selection menu, its name is red, and it says that it needs the vanilla content package and the sounds, i have downloaded the sounds, but no matter how many times i try to reload the mods, i still cannot pick up the submarine.

Is there a version of this without the window? I love a lot of these ships I see posted but the window is not fun to deal with.

Still working on it, slow progress unfortunately. Haven't had an opportunity to fully test the sub either. The goal is to have the sub finished and uploaded this summer.

I deleted my old comments and I have to apologize. I didn't understand how to select it, but I figured it out now and it works

Mod doesnt work, and it doesnt matter if i have the sounds or not.

It's said that the Stromson sounds aren't required, but when I try to select the ship, it says I'm missing Stromson sounds. I tried it with and without Stromson sounds downloaded and activated, but it still doesn't work. I would love to use this ship because it's sick looking and just what I like, but it's not possible thanks to this issue

Mod won't work without sounds mod but even with sounds mod game refuses to let you use it

(2/2) I am working on the Stromson Prime by myself at the moment, which will be a separate upload. I'm hoping to fix everything currently wrong with the Stromson and make some improvements to its design.

So to sum things up, The sub has some problems that because of our conflicting schedules, won't see some attention until we can get on the same page and work them out.

(Also a big thanks to @Vladimir Lenin who helped answer some questions that I couldn't or didn't.)

(1/2) Hey all, apologies for the lack of sub updates and bug fixes. At the moment, I am the only one occasionally working on the sub in my free time, as the me and the others are occupied with school and/or work.

There is only so much I can do since my knowledge of the wiring system is on par with that of a hamster's. Treymur was working on a solution to the auto-reactor patch because yes, the reactor is not working the way it should be.

The custom sound files are also still causing problems for some people for unknown reasons, asking users to download the required package. The data has been deleted from the sub's local package so I'm at a loss for ideas on how to fix it.

Is Stromson Prime part of this workshop item or is that final image a teaser for an upcoming item? It looks quite interesting but I cannae quite figure out what exactly is going on on that front.

How does the auto reactor setup work with the recent changes?

Still having trouble getting the reactor to work. I tried turning off backup, and turning on power, but it still won't produce any power despite having a load. Not sure if its a problem with the autoreactor

While that works, that is clearly not how it should be.

@ everyone please look through the other pages before commenting:
instructions to select the submarine if all packages are installed:
Multiplayer Lobby --> Game Settings --> Select Submarine --> Voting and click on the Stromson to select it

They may have removed the custom sounds from the sub, but they haven't removed the content package requirement. Hence the errors.

Can't select either, I've already installed Sound pack but still shows it is missing

Can't select this submarine in multiplayer. Sound pack is installed, but it refuses to recognize it.

is the self destruct meant to work or is it just something to add flavor to the submarine because the generate code system doesn't do anything

None of the fabs are connected to storage :(

@Accusedwriter There's a O2 tracker module some submarines have but apparently it's very glitchy and it's mostly redundant as if you have no O2 in your room you'll notice quickly

Its kinda annoying me but also in creator i was coloring stuff and it said something about the vents

I'll look at the guns and see if there is an accidental or incorrect wall placement.

Just had the holiday update go through, for some reason though, our railguns, when we fire them, are detonating the shell in the gun thus rendering our rail guns useless.

I'll ask Treymur to take a look at it, He is currently working on a new reactor design that might fix problems with the batteries, as the current reactor isn't working the way we intended.
