that should show you if steam downloaded it
(you could also try a steam verify files too)

then you can edit i think its "deafult.xml" in your users zomboid folder, and manually add in an extra line to include the mod by its mod id, like
mod = FoodPreservationPlus,
(but make a backup of that file somewhere before you edit it, just in case)

hi ken if you credit spoon for original mod and are making a patch for more compatibility, i dont 'think' spoon would have a problem with that. (someone made a chinese version of one of my mods as i dont speak it, and that was ok with me) but i am rather good at eating it

I think we have this problem quite often and the problem is you need either more meat or more salt or something. Usually it's just that we have not enough of 1 ingredient. It takes a full item of salt and I believe large chunks of meat

So yeah, it's been a while since the last update. But I certainly hope a fix or patch for the general recipe > refill propane will be released. since it causes errors due to it needing "propane tanks" instead of "empty propane tanks"

Heyo need some help, so I have already found and read the magazine for food preservation and Ive already crafted the can sealer, and canned vegetables but I cant seem to can meat for some reason? I have everything required for crafting but it doesnt let me click craft. Any help would be appreciated!

Edit: Noticed its doing the same thing for tallow.

The mod works fine but we deleted it after a while from our server.
We wanted a really hard survival experience with insanely rare resources but this mod spawns literally thousand units in every building. It feels more like cheating than survival. :/

Anybody know where to find the can sealer?Ive not managed to find it for a very long time now and I can't seem to find the recipe either.

When it comes to items identified as food, "Units" are the "Hunger" reduction you would get from consuming that food.

So Smushed food for Biogas for example takes 100 units and provides 2 hunger each, and so you would need 50x fresh ones.

I tested it and it looks like you need 50 ethanol wort items (each has 2 units). But it will look gray in the crafting menu, which is confusing - make sure you have everything else needed (enough water, yeast etc.) and then you should be able to craft it once you get 50 ethanol wort items. Same logic applies to vinegar wort - it says 50 units, meaning 25 items, and it will always look like you don't have enough unless you also have everything else you need.

How do you craft barrels? I have found the brew for dummies recipe but i cant craft the barrel through the carpentry menu or crafting.

Absolutely terrible mod design. The calorie values are all over the goddamn place, the items don't have 3d models (although admittedly that is a nitpick), the crafting recipes make zero sense, there's so many exceptions to the crafting recipes that aren't explained, there's so many intermediate items that don't need to exist, and the mod author doesn't communicate with his community.

Hello, i love this immersive mod but, i have noticed something that quite ruin my survival playthrough, i like to play with insanely rare loot, since this mod override all food items of the vanilla, even in insanely rare settings, i keep finding a huuuge amount of cans in every houses. So i wonder if you could ajust the settings to match the sandbox customization ?

its a good mod, just wish it was maintained and fixed.

nah its evaporated milk. could be called condensed milk in files though. but irl evaporated milk is around 300-500 calories. and even if it was condensed milk, thats only 1000-1200 calories irl. my point is that the caloric counts in this mod make no sense. its not really an issue for me anymore since i uninstalled the mod because of this.

Incredibly weird and terrible mod. You can turn Red Licorice which has 22 calories into 5 Brown Sugars, which are 1500 Calories each- And this isn't the only recipe like this. The dude who made this is on some shit.

I have trouble preparing soap and Tallow using fish fillet it seems the units on fish fillet are not calculated right everything is white in recipe but i cant start crafting would it be possible to add smoke preparation fish to the cooking recipe so you first combine the fish fillet ?

Would it be possible to add pemmican as recipe since we have tallow you could mix tallow with meat and maybe berrys/strawberrys?

It's been longer than 15 days and my ethanol brew won't finish...

Smoking/salting meat makes zero sense and the instructions aren't helpful. Anybody have a better explanation, or even a video on how to do it?
