Whelp I'm here to say what has probably already been said... Yeah for some reason 1.6 files for the workshop download just do not seem to exist in the moral or physical fibers of my internet. I cannot comprehend why it refuses to acknowledge a 1.6 file update, as it works just fine on the git download but ive tried everything up to re-installing the game and it has just not worked at all dawg.
maybe its because im on linux? i doubt it but its the only thing i can imagine is different from the "average computer" TM.

@cararr, can you even try to read the description? Ball your fist up very tightly and move it rapidly towards your face without slowing down. Report back your findings.

It says 1.6 but its not compatible

Its on an nvme but weirdly enough it takes long. It's fine on my laptop so i assume its some fuck up of old windows installation and steam.

I wish I could attach the picture because I've got over 1.6k subscriptions KEKW. Verifying didn't take as much as I expected, maybe due to me moving rimworld to NVME? but unsure. Still I remember the times it took at least half an hour for me to verify rim D:

Oh well, too late. My game isn't on an HDD either and it takes forever. Might be the 606 subscriptions.

@[C|⦿] Typical Lama [✚] Idk what you've tried so far, but try unsubscribing, deleting the files for the mod in your rimworld steamworkshop folder, check the steamworkshop download as well and resubscribe.

@Capisci i've "updated" the mod with minor unrelated changes. Luckily it seemed to have fixed the issue.

Now the game sees mod as 1.6

@Archguard as mentioned below it clearly has support but steam has issues downloading the correct files. Unsubscribe, resubscribe, verify game files and hope for the best.

Hey there, fresh download and user of this mod, haven't installed prior to installing Rimworld 1.6. I forgot to disable infestations on my current map and was looking for a solution and I noticed your mod, it's listed to support 1.6 however the files only have patches up to 1.5 and the in game does not show compatibility with 1.6

Latest version downloaded from the "Change Notes" tab gives me the correct files. Obviously that's not possible for non owner of the file, just confirming.

@Meng De Validate game files i all i can recommend at this point. Also unsubbing and subbing should be done with some time in between otherwise it wont work.

In-game it's listed as not compatible with 1.6
The About.xml doesn't have a tag for 1.6. Neither does LoadFolders, if it matters.

I tried resubbing several times to make sure it wasn't something on my end, but nothing.
Maybe it's a Steam issue, and we're simply not getting the correct version somehow.

Im not 100% sure either, but it literally says that you wont be able to do key quest events in Odyssey so im 90% sure it completely disables all events related to insects? Ngl tho i have not tested it.

@Aerensiniac that would probably remove them from being generated, but im not sure if that also accounts for quest based generation and certainly not for event based

@dragonissa removing insects completely? Cant you do that by removing the insect hive from your map generation in the factions setting when you set up the game?

@Kylo This mod will never cause such errors. It only changes xml settings.
1.6, Odyssey and the updates of VFE are still new so errors are expected.

No, this is for infestation events not maps that already have Insects on them. There is no removal of Insect generation

does this mod deal with "Infestation" event in aincient complex?

could you do compatibility for Medieval Overhaul please? the mine shaft does get infestations ... i hate it.

If they released a newer version of Insectoids than its not patched anymore. Haven't touched VE in a while.

Might want to note, this probably likely doesn't work if you are on a creep infested map (courtesy of Vanilla Expanded Insectoids 2). I'm having this issue in particular with SOS with the ship being constantly infested, likely because of one of the Hive faction sites is in a particular spot where it's considered close to the ship and therefore forcing infestation events regardless of whether the event is disabled or this mod is installed. (Fortunately the bugs do not appear and it's just hives, likely cause -100 degrees environment in space) - trying some debugging to see if I can stop it, starting with destroying the Hive map causing the issue. If you don't hear back from me, it probably worked.
