@Kotry thanks for the tip, it helped me get things in order, you and anyone subscribed will be glad to know that this mod is now fully functional on its now newer and updated files with both black bean and breath of life functional as intended

Oh and as it was your issue originally @Flacker the two items are now fully functional, should be not a problem to be had with either anymore

Well by looking on comments looks like you edited the items.xml and maybe uploading an older version of it, i recomend making the description changing on lua using the method from this mod: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2853478372

Update, have been able to bodge together a fix for Breath of life so it Should? be working as intended, black bean however still does not function correctly so steer clear

I will be hopefully seeking out help to fix this issue however for the time being i recommend avoiding those items or disabling the mod till a fix can be found

@Flacker Hmm, so they do, after some testing I'm not particularly sure why either, neither of their actual code or function was changed from their original Items.xml file in creation of the mod and without the mod the original XML files allow them to function correctly, only black bean had its description changed and breath of life was entirely untouched...

(My lack of modding knowledge probably doesnt help, i only ever intended to make a very simple mod so if any one else has any knowledge to help work this out that could be wonderful)

and Black bean goes from "5 farts in quick succession when you take damage" to "take damage once, and you just keep farting, perpetually, without ever stopping, nothing can touch you, the run is basically broken."

Whenevr I have either of those two items with this mod turned on, Breath of Life turns from a time-charged item that slowly goes down as you hold it to shooting holy brimstone if you time it right, into a six-room charge item that uses itself all immediately, and never recharges, ever. Not even from batteries.

@KliPeH XD two sides of the same coin, go for it tho, some people would prefer to see what an item does right there without EID, dont let the existence of this stop you!

@PeopleLikeStuff yeah, EID still tells you what everything can and will do but it never really sat right that a lot of items have lore based, comedic or just general text pertaining to the item while some just outright tell you "this gives you hp", had this idea for a little while and never got around to figurring out the ins and outs of making it till now!

Considering everybody uses EID anyways making the in-game descriptions redundant, changing them into bits of flavor text is a fun idea

@Flacker While EID doesn't display any of the item descriptions in this mod the two worked just fine in my original testing and shouldn't run into any problems being in the same game together

Does it work with External item descriptions?

You should make it randomly generated each run (but idk if it would work)
