Someone made a new patch with more races. Just use that uhh I gave up on starbound honestly so I really dont care about my mods no more sorry.

Weird they must've changed something. There is an updated patch made by someone else. You should search for that instead

This sadly doesn't seem to work. I'm using the human race added by GIC and chose the BYOS option, and I still have the old ship in the background.

@Bam4000 2.0 If you would be so kind to see it, I would be very grateful, your patch has been a salvation for me, currently there are 4 GIC races, the voidborne humans, the Gallic Floran, the Glitch Free-Thinker and the Unbranded Novakid, if I'm not mistaken, your Magnificent patch works perfectly with all except the Unbranded Novakid, because they were the last to be integrated into GIC

Im not really following the development of GiC anymore so I didnt notice but sure. I'll look into it

Could you update by adding the latest GIC race? Unbranded Novakid is the name. If you use that race, the error persists, with all the others this patch works fine.

any of the gic races i pick the background still shows up even when i pick the byos at the ship select

why not try the Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\win32\asset_unpacker.exe ?

I have lost the files for the mod and I cannot unpak it from the workshop because the modpackhelper thing doesnt work. So im in quite the predicement here

the "name" of this mod in the metadata conflicts with the official BYOS patch causing it to overwrite that:
