I needed to reset the same campaign 3 times, but each time I learned from my mistakes and learn more and more. Thanks greatly for this experience. You're absolutely incredibly talented and hardworking for all of this.
With Rome i kicked Epirus out of Italy and conquered the Etruscans, built an entire province buffer in magna grecia by liberating.. after that things went south... actually i turned my attention to north, but after conquering Milan and another village, Carthage came from east by foot, then i had almost all of Gallia declearing war on me at the same time, the Daorsi did the same. An army from Apollonia sneaked in from magna grecia and almost got Rome... not to mention the endless revolts in the north where i have trouble replenishing my troops
I think it's too much and i'm losing ground, i'll have to start again (those policy outcomes were a pain the ass lmao)
10/10 but i'll have to git gud again
Different recruiting times are cancelled in newest version, and altered to default dei style, because it will be easier to update with future dei versions, and because I noticed AI had some problems with multiturn recruitment.
Units are more expensive to obtain and upkeep, also population numbers are altered and represent number of fighting male population. In prolonged wars, population numbers may be exausted, especially upper classes.

Multiturn recruiting abandoned from this version.
I noticed DEI team is often updating main_unit table. In order for easier future updates, and to keep inline with default DEI main_unit table, multiturn recruiting is abandoned. Unit cost is slightly increased for player and AI, Navy recruitment cost is increased by 50%. Anyway I noticed AI has some issues with miltiturn recruiting, especially with navy recruiting.
All main updates for nomadic factions units is in main_unit table.
Game might not function properly without updating (problem with nomadic factions and expanded nomadic rosters). Your previously saved campaign will not function properly after DEI 1.3.2 update.
Suggest to start new campaign with both DEI and Antiqua Legendary updated, or to stick with DEI 1.3.1. until completing previously saved campaign.
also there is new mod for dei called ab urbe condita that has a revised naval recruitment system
" It is now necessary for the player to be docked at a settlement to build new ships for their navy"
i think that would be cool for antiqua too
I'd love to see it!
it might be connected with the lowering of battle difficulty. field battles seem fine.
never happened to me with dei before
mod used:
orbis terrarum
orbis aquarum
antiqua
dei
how about a sign on the diplo button to tell the player diplomacy is on. like the one we have for technology that informs you have to choose a tech
diplo broken with epirus brilliant!
plus 16 loyalty love it ! this bonus balances things well imo
multiturn recruiting interesting. i hope AI can handle it. so far so good
Historical objectives for Rome i know this mod. it's great. should be in main DEI
In my game Antigonidai are also growing big, they did a huge push north, took over Illirya and Cisalpine and are now almost into Germania I believe. It's 100+ turn and Im finally starting to get the upper hand over Carthage, thankfully huge Macedonia is not my enemy yet but obviously it will be sooner or later. And it has a more effective military than Carthage too. Should be fun.
Also, characthers are progressing slowly, much slower than in default DEI. Assassinations aren't easy or cheap.
Whole idea was to have limited numbers of characthers player will know and care about.
Version for HATG is out. I highly reccommend playing Antiqua Legendary for DLCs!
