Does this still work with latest version od DEI?
Just wanted to hop in here and say i wouldnt play without this mod... Thank you!
Nina & Alexander 8
I'm in love with this mod. I play it also with "Cultural Tension Reworked" and "DeI - Realistic Combat Overhaul". Is the most satisfactory pain that I have ever experienced.

I needed to reset the same campaign 3 times, but each time I learned from my mistakes and learn more and more. Thanks greatly for this experience. You're absolutely incredibly talented and hardworking for all of this.

@naminimumu Please update ..
Mod was made and balanced for DEI 1.3., later it is adjusted to DEI 1.3.1 / 1.3.2. If played with other DEI versions, bugs are likely. I might do update & overhau, but no promise. The main problem I had was that city battles became repetitive and boring, but same as in any version or any mod. Ans AI is generaly stupid.
this mod suck it don't make the game more challenging
Is there going to be an update for 1.34 version of dei? also noticed 12 turns per year is not working as it only is 4 turns
Reno 2024
How can we remove diplomatic 4 turns? I use the diplomacy screen a lot.
Man i love seeing Testudo back in some way... didn't know about this mod!! I also didn't remember if diplomacy was this punishing at legendary or if i got bad after not playing for a couple years

With Rome i kicked Epirus out of Italy and conquered the Etruscans, built an entire province buffer in magna grecia by liberating.. after that things went south... actually i turned my attention to north, but after conquering Milan and another village, Carthage came from east by foot, then i had almost all of Gallia declearing war on me at the same time, the Daorsi did the same. An army from Apollonia sneaked in from magna grecia and almost got Rome... not to mention the endless revolts in the north where i have trouble replenishing my troops

I think it's too much and i'm losing ground, i'll have to start again (those policy outcomes were a pain the ass lmao)

10/10 but i'll have to git gud again
i had a phenomenal Seleucid campaign and lost it when i satrapied Egpyt in Kyrene all my satraps rebelled because of previous hostile actions against egypt after i satraped? so how am i supposed to satrap the world !

Never test multiplayer. You might try.
Hello, does this work for multiplayer?
Adding +16 party loyalty on Legendary difficulty
[StDb] Christian 2023
great mod, but Loyalty -25 is too much
Still very interested to see if you can do this for the Mithridatic Wars campaign in DEI :)
It is itended, to be slightly realistic. It should be possible for Agent to travel for instance, across Italian peninsula in 5 turns (5 months). Agents have longer movement, bu shortened field of view, generals have shorter movement, but greater field of view . Senators have shorter movement.
Great mod. The movment of generals and agents is equal to standard DEI 4tpy. Does it is intended? Or should be reduced?
Agents are expensive in this mod.
Different recruiting times are cancelled in newest version, and altered to default dei style, because it will be easier to update with future dei versions, and because I noticed AI had some problems with multiturn recruitment.
Units are more expensive to obtain and upkeep, also population numbers are altered and represent number of fighting male population. In prolonged wars, population numbers may be exausted, especially upper classes.
nice mod! could be cool to add some features of the ultimate mods collection, as different recruiting time for units, expensive agents, etc.
Thank you!

Updated for DEI 1.3.2.
Multiturn recruiting abandoned from this version.

I noticed DEI team is often updating main_unit table. In order for easier future updates, and to keep inline with default DEI main_unit table, multiturn recruiting is abandoned. Unit cost is slightly increased for player and AI, Navy recruitment cost is increased by 50%. Anyway I noticed AI has some issues with miltiturn recruiting, especially with navy recruiting.
All main updates for nomadic factions units is in main_unit table.

Game might not function properly without updating (problem with nomadic factions and expanded nomadic rosters). Your previously saved campaign will not function properly after DEI 1.3.2 update.
Suggest to start new campaign with both DEI and Antiqua Legendary updated, or to stick with DEI 1.3.1. until completing previously saved campaign.
great news!
Antiqua is not dead. There will be update to1.3.2
i would like to do a new grand campaign with antiqua do you think is good to go after 1.3.2 or it needs some adjustment?

also there is new mod for dei called ab urbe condita that has a revised naval recruitment system

" It is now necessary for the player to be docked at a settlement to build new ships for their navy"

i think that would be cool for antiqua too
Sure fair enough, I'd LOVE to see it there mate!
Probably. After full release. Mithirdates campaign is in beta still.
Are you going to update/upload new version for the Mithridates campaign mate?

I'd love to see it!
Unlikely due to Antiqua mod. I did not alter battle mechanism of dei. Probably some pathfinding bug. I remember these battles where boat and land units are involved often had some bugs, before Antiqua and also in Attila. Sometimes those boats arrive in port and infantry cannot land.
i think siege battles are bugged. it happened in two defensive battles at taras and asculum with enemies arriving in boats. when i click to attack an enemy unit i see the red line going in a completly different spot where there are no enemy soldiers and my unit starts moving there and do not engage the enemy
it might be connected with the lowering of battle difficulty. field battles seem fine.
never happened to me with dei before

mod used:
orbis terrarum
orbis aquarum
antiqua
dei
Currently I identified two negative issues; long turn awaiting (only for Grand Campaign) and repetitive battles for non-walled settlements. I think all settlemements should be walled.
This idea for small sign on screen for 4turn diplomacy is good. Unfortunatelly in this moment I am not sure how to script it. If I can see some similar example script I could figure out.
I am glad to hear about diplo broken script. In my first test when I played without that script I bribe ephirus for peace, attack etruscians, then turn to epirus and found Taranto empty cause epirus army was sunken by Carthage. Easy start. Diplo broken script is for tough Roman start in which likely cannot avoid battles with epirus.
reading the old messages this diplo thing was already talked in october...
how about a sign on the diplo button to tell the player diplomacy is on. like the one we have for technology that informs you have to choose a tech
feedback so far:
diplo broken with epirus brilliant!
plus 16 loyalty love it ! this bonus balances things well imo
multiturn recruiting interesting. i hope AI can handle it. so far so good
Historical objectives for Rome i know this mod. it's great. should be in main DEI
yes this is what i meant a side window event not a pop-up. otherwise each turn i have to open diplo and see if i can do stuff cuz you cannot remember to count the turns
What if those notifications were non pop-ups, just appearing on the list every 4 tuns, but not in your face? Would that be possible?
There is "4 turn diplomacy" notification on first turn. Later it would be anoying to repeat notification every 4 turns, playing 500+ turns.
cool!! the mod i was waiting for :) just started a campaing. suggestion: add an event at the start of the turn to tell the player when he can do diplomatic stuff
Antigonidai decided to backstab me before I knocked out Carthage for good. It is now a two front war against 2 superpowers. May the gods help Rome.
Thanks for feedback. I would like to hear more campaign feedbacks from players. Small tip, probably you know...you can save occassionaly your game by minimizing game and copy/rename your save file inside save game folder. I use to save every abt 10 turns.
Took me 4 restarts to really get into the mod also.

In my game Antigonidai are also growing big, they did a huge push north, took over Illirya and Cisalpine and are now almost into Germania I believe. It's 100+ turn and Im finally starting to get the upper hand over Carthage, thankfully huge Macedonia is not my enemy yet but obviously it will be sooner or later. And it has a more effective military than Carthage too. Should be fun.
UPDATE::: after playing 4 new games as Rome. i have gotten use to this submod and i have to admit..... its phenomenal. The pace and thing you grabbed from tetsudo are amazing.im around 120 turns and have alrdy had 3 civil wars and after scraping for so long im finally doing okay. after subjugating Macedon they have also exploded into a kingdom of their own. im finally into Carthage now. The diplomacy has been very difficult. Legendary is amazing not being able to save is great so much more realistic. Totally worth a try i always loved Tetsudo, and Realism 1.6. Would you ever be interested in using Kams alternate economy? aboslutely love that mod. This has been a great fun
It think I restrict number of children to max 3 per family. The older characther is, less are chances to get children. If your general is aged 40+, yeah, some 120 turns (10 years) is good chance he ll have no children. Although, there is still tiny chance even older characther can have children.
It surely is possible for characthers to have children, but it is not nearly often as in default DEI. In Antiqua Legendary you have no big number of similar characters like in default DEI. Characthers are more precious and will last hundreds of turns, although it is likely they ll die in battle or randomly. Once charachter is born, there is about 200 turns until he/she reach age. Adoption into family is way to go to.
Also, characthers are progressing slowly, much slower than in default DEI. Assassinations aren't easy or cheap.
Whole idea was to have limited numbers of characthers player will know and care about.
Gotta say, the submod is pretty amazing. It's unforgiving, but It's also deep and adds some mechanics I really like/ The way public order is handled is probably my favorite. I'm playing with 40 unit armies on normal unit size and I edited a save to get the battle difficulty back to normal (while campaign stays legendary). Being forced into no pause battles is just no fun to me. Everything else I'm really enjoying. Thank you for your work naminimumu!
Actually no, my family leader just got a kid, a son. I'm Rome, gens Julii and it's turn 59, the man is -3 and the wife is +10. It's the first time I see it happen in 4 runs, although all my previous ones ended before turn 50. So yeah, it seems to be much rarer than in vanilla DeI but it's still there.
I didn't. It's prob an unintentionally child free mod.
Has anyone's general been able to have children? Playing as sparta, i've had my general married for about 120 turns and have yet to have a child. I've had multiple other runs as well. I've also checked to make sure they didn't have any negative children stats. My general has +4 and his wife +6.

Version for HATG is out. I highly reccommend playing Antiqua Legendary for DLCs!
