screenshots? compability faq? if this mod is very good this just gets melted by terrible author description of mods

yeah, I think it would be, as I am pretty sure this mod uses truespace planet definitions for generation around all stars except yogurt clusters

I just had a thought while looking at planet mods for my next playthough.
Because you used TrueSpace as a base for this mod, is it possible to find TrueSpace compatible planets (Starry Planets, Landable Gas Giants, K'rakoths, etc.) in your mod's dairy-free star systems, like how they would appear in TrueSpace star systems?

I assume that class O stars have nothing but hot planets for that reason.

@cutieryan I think rogue planets have mostly gas giants, yogurt clusters have only yogurt planets, binary stars are quite similar to their unary counterparts, just with a few different planets, and I think pulsars have a lot of high level planets. Not sure about black holes tho, been a while since I've seen one. I'm pretty sure class O stars also have lots of high level planets just like pulsars.

I was thinking of starting a new playthrough from scratch, and this mod kind of has my attention.

Unfortunately, the mod description doesn't give enough info on what this mod's stars are like. Could you either add pictures to the mod page, or give a more detailed description on each star's characteristics/what planets should we expect from them, please?

(ex: Do rogue planet "stars" have midnight, barren, and frozen planets only, or does it only contain moons?)

The crash appears to be on the end of truespace, not this mod.

i reset my universe and characters, and decided to switch over to use FU, so i removed the T7-10 stars and Ancient Cosmos.

Truespace crashes the game, same with the vanilla fix,

well, I use FU when I made this so kinda. but you can use this without FU if you wish to.

I could, but I'd rather not switch between 20gb of mods and 10mb of mods very often so I might not do that, sorry

Is it possible for you to backup ur FU Starbound storage/addons and create a 2nd universe for checking for possibilities to be able to use the Radiant and Spectral star mods with yours?

these are both for use without FU. Unfortunately, I use FU and cannot resolve the issue if one exists to begin with.

I think they are from 'New Stars with 19 planets T7-10' i think is what both of them are called

Doesn't crash the game so thats good.
However

Vanilla stars do not spawn at all

Arcana stars do not spawn at all

Ancient Cosmos's Radiant, Spectral, Photon, and Blackhole spawn as they should.

Pulsar and Yogurt spawn a metric ton (Maybe they are taking up all the vanilla spawns and Arcana spawns it seems? Thats just a thought though.), Blue giant and blackhole spawns normally, Rogue does not spawn.

@Luna Tess that's odd, it works almost perfectly fine for me

After a few crashed I got the game to launch, however, the same issue still persists,without truespace it will only generate your stars, and with truespace it deletes all stars, you cant travel at all

@Luna Tess I fixed it, although the solution was to make the new stars less common than the rest.

hopefully you get the star generation fixed, id look at mods that add new star types and look at how they generate if you can. I do hope you are able to fix the generation issue because I really would love to see the rogue and black hole types. I subbed to the thread so i can be updated on anything new

no, I said "new" saves so that's the worst thing you could do

would I have to reset my entire universe then to use the mod?

until I can fix the issue that this only spawns it's own stars, this is highly incompatible with new saves.

hmm, it does appear to be truespace, with the class A stars, although I'm not exactly sure why this is happening. probably an issue on truespace's side, and by the looks of things it happens when it's looking for a starting planet.

no, and even if they did, it shouldn't cause a crash. so maybe something else is causing truespace to crash. could you provide a log file?
