for mind control what are the parameters on use? i cant target a prisoner with 200 psysensitivity, they are awake and walking around. Theres no red circle indicating they cant be targeted but clicking the person does nothing

Any way to have "word of inspiration" clear previous inspiration from a pawn (if preexisting)? As in casting it on inspired pawn would re-roll the inspiration. Thank you

Hi, I have a creepjoiner pawn with the Anomaly tentacle arm. I've amputated the arm so he's not unhappy about it, cast Regrow Limb on the guy. His arm starts regrowing, but after the Anesthetics wore out he's dragging himself around base in critical condition below 20% health, but the game does not recognize him as hurt - he can't be sent to medical bed, he can't be cast Preach Health upon. The arm is not Injured, but Regenerating, is it supposed to be "unhealable" in this state?

How about adding something like a quest reward item that allows you to repurpose all of your psylink level points? Maybe it's just me, but I had a lot of situations when I had a pretty developed psycaster with 5-6 completely useless psycasts (due to replacing their effects with something else, like growing a bigger field so I don't need a plant timeskip anymore), but having a RARE item that can give me an ability to choose new casts instead of now redundant ones would be extremely helpful

Think it's my save somehow. If I start new colony with dev quick mode, give pawn psylink, teach him resurrect, kill other pawn and ressurect him it works. Is the psycast just using the dev mode resurrect? As that's probably what's I'm going to have to do in the "main" save from now on.

Hi, Is there some "catch" to the Resurrect psycast (apart from the body can't be rotten)?

Twice I used it immediately after the death occurred (1x stillbirth, 1x botched operation on a child (Inspired Surgery my ass, thanks Tynan)) and in both cases the target remained unchanged and dead and my caster fell into coma.

Of course. How it should be. It's a tool and you limit your exposure to it. Mod options exist and allow you to for example set a maximum psycaster level at 6, and to stop passive XP gain from meditation, essentially replicating Royalty DLC psycasters.

mod is great, but these psycasts effectively trivialize most of the battles. Its really op.

ooh nice :) i made a mistake (kind of) by clicking on the "types" of focus gains, when i was gaining levels, instead of actually putting the levels into unlocked psycasts, (but i think its not as bad as it seems, though dont fully understand the difference of the "types" of focus gains yet)

I use my killfocused weapon to gain massive amounts of XP. I raise tons of small birds, and then give a fresh psycaster 20 or so levels in a single day.

ah one of my pawns has a killfocus need (but when i used him to finish off a down manhunter animal it didnt seem to count so it must be non-animal only)

Using Sleep Meditation or a killfocused weapon will also do it.

cool from reading other comments on performance optimiser, turns out unticking the optimisation for "InspectGizmoGrid.DrawInspectGizmoGridFor" fixes the small ui tooltips - yay :lunar2019piginablanket:

Caused by a performance mod, don’t remember which one, but one performance mod makes it impossible to display tooltips on smaller buttons. Silly, I know.

hi can i check if there is any way of enabling (or forcing) the tooltips to appear, on small ability icons? for example, if i have a pawn with psycasts, when they have several abilities, some of the later icons are smaller (i clicked or unclicked the mod setting too), BUT the tooltips on mouseover, only seem to show up when the icons are big, not small?

I could try that. Although, I did reach out to the mod author (of MIM's WH40k mods), he said it was an issue on VPE's end and he couldn't fix it without making VPE a dependency. It seems like Eltex is added as a requirement automatically for any item that grants psychic sensitivity as a bonus.

I have a feeling you have another mod that is altering the recipes after the fact. If you want to reassure yourself that it is not this mod that is messing things up, remove all your mods except for harmony, vanilla framework expanded, VPE, and whatever other mod has the messed up recipe, and start a new game with dev mode and god mode active, and look at the recipes. If they are normal, and do not require eltex, then you have another mod that is altering the recipes after the fact. It might even be that other mod that looks to see if you have VPE and adds eltex to the recipe.

Think we could get a config option to remove/change Eltex as a resource? It keeps overwriting the crafting recipes for other mods and making normal items insanely expensive.

Is the aiming time stat no longer supposed to effect psycasting?

I think it's an interesting choice to make eltex a gemstone, since all the vanilla references to it regard it as fabric.
It does allow for eltex meteorites and weapons, which add variety from eltex staves and a better origin of the material than anything the fabric could offer.

I just don't see how you make fabric from a gemstone

anyone having lag when an enemy is a psycaster especially with shared visual effects on people, lag when you click on people with powers too

For those who have problems with the visibility of buttons with abilities. Update the Prepatcher. In my case, this solved the problem.

Leminos, you are using a kill-focused persona weapon, which gives the same amount of XP per kill as you would gain from meditating for 20% of your bar.

I give a kill-focused weapon to each of my psycasters, and set them as the only people to slaughter animals, and then raise quail to gain massive amounts of XP, and also ensure that their psyfocus is always topped up. If you start to run low on psyfocus during a battle, just skip a quail next to you, and smash them to gain 20% psyfocus.

one of the persona weapon traits allows someone to recharge their psyfocus by killing with that bonded weapon

Aha, I did what Tump wrote about some pages back and deleted the whole Workshop folder and re-downloaded every mod. That fixed it. Thanks Tump.

Wondering if someone could help me out, All Psycast category graphics is just a questionmark, but everything does work still. I can unlock abilities and all. Puppeteer and Hemosage still has their normal graphics, but everything specifically from this one has that questionmark graphics instead of their theme graphics.

What could be wrong?
