What I think would be the best option, is neither let tears shoot themselves, nor let Isaac do it, solely for the reason that such experience would feel just like in JoJo, because usually Diavolo neither throws objects in skipped time nor uses his body to harm anyone
That very hole would appear during the skipped time (because it's bound to happen by fate), and Diavolo not only wouldn't be revealed, but he wouldn't have to move an inch to kill anyone. It's most certainly not that he missed that opportunity either - he used it (if it works like that in the first place) to deal with Trish's hand, Narancia and the fortune teller.
Part 1
Thank you, StaticMask, for the explanation. But I stil cannot be sure that KC works like explained in the video. What I think, if it actually worked that way, Diavolo wouldn't have to launch the attacks moments before time resuming (which he often does) - he could use the same strategy he used to severe Trish's hand in every battle (e.g. when fighting Bruno first time or Polnareff on the stairs): knowing his ability and how it works (according to the video), Diavolo (standing around a corner for example) would think: "I can jump around the corner, run towards who I am fighting, punch a hole through them, run away and hide behind the same corner. Yeah, I'm gonna do that." And then erase time.
The tears appearing suddenly is the bot shooting, it is invisible because as stated above tears were fated to appear and shoot the enemy. This is the best way to simulate king crimson (because you can't actually predict fate in video games). And before you ask, yes, fate is real in JOJO.
If you're confused by my explanation (I doubt I'm good at explaining things like this) you can watch a video on the subject here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-ZiDJw_Sns&t=1s
And it's a pity the time doesn't resume when The Forgotten attacks. King Crimson is meele after all, and I would love to get the full experience of being a villain
The Touhou Reverie mods do this too, and i have no idea how to fix it. Lot of really fun mods the game's jsut not letting me use :(
Regarding your point: During the effect onset the player is intangible, so he cannot collide with other objects, which includes the grid entities like rocks and pits (at least that is what the manga and anime of JoJo would suggest when his ability is used, for ex. bullets go through him, he goes through iron bars/pillars, etc.). The bot does not take pickups automatically due to balancing reasons (still thinking about how I should proceed with this point in future releases), so you have to be careful not to be stuck between rocks/pits by yourself.
Also I have not tested god head, will look into it and fix it if I consider it broken as of now.
i was testing a "if" and find out that king crimson ignores pit and rock.
you can guess what happen after that.
all tho you can quit the run and go back in too fix it. i think a inti-idiot build in it wod by nice.
btw god head is simi-broken tho im not sure
(sorry for trash englich)
but i think there some TODO.
1 the gfx need lot polish. but i do agree that the bot need too be better 1st.
2 car battery synergy but you all ready know that.
3 i find a way to soft-lock pretty rapidly will going for a chest. that need to be fix
