Remain on top of fate with this item!

Yet another definitely-not-so-jojo-item, this time featuring Time Skip! This item allows its user to skip time for at most ten seconds. Only the player is aware of what is happening, and everything else acts as it would have previously. The player becomes intangible and can move wherever he wants, readjusting his "fated" actions.

The mod integrates the AIsaac bot as to mimic what the player "would have done" during the erased time frame, so give it some slack if it acts weirdly :p

TODO: improve bot (maybe try to replace the bot with a GA heuristic approach?), add more synergies, make compatible with older game versions (at least on my testing it did not work if repentance was not installed)

Huge thanks to Nato Potato for allowing me to use his AIsaac mod as the base code for the bot.

NOTE: You might get a black screen after starting a run. That is caused either by conflicting mods (only one I garnered from my own testing was the Job modpack, but there could be more), or if you are on an OS without native support (like Proton on Linux). In that case, reinstall the mod, or disable other mods that use shaders. As a last resort, you can just rename/delete the shader.xml for this mod (with the cost of effect immersion, of course...)

I get why so many people are confused as to how KC's ability works, but honestly after thinking about it for a little bit it makes perfect sense. Fated actions play out as well as diavalos without him actually there and he reappears where he positioned himself. And to me the mod replicates this pretty well.

Using the item as the forgotten and using his melee attack doesn't end the time skip. I assume it should.

This thread got a bit out of hand lmao. Being the controversial ability that is King Crimson (probably the most discussed ability in JoJo), there will always be people that disagree with the design. I just took the most widely accepted interpretation of his ability, which perfectly explains all the situations in the manga and the anime where the ability is being used, namely the one given in Hamon Beat's video (and the JoJo wiki where he drew inspiration from, I would presume).

Or for the reason that different people have different opinions the real best option would be to let the player choose how this mod will work (in mod settings or something like that). Though I guess it will take some time and effort to code every variation

Moreover, if we take into consideration that Isaac's main weapon is tears (or blood and many other things), which are part of his body (at least the moment they are shot and before that), he only should be able to shoot them himself (like Diavolo shot his blood into Polnareff's eyes), so they shouldn't be able launch themselves as they're not separate objects as guns in your example. Alas this logic creates one more problem. Diavolo shot blood to blind enemies, which isn't that strong so is kinda balanced, but Isaac doing the same with his tears is able to kill mobs because of magic and artefacts, so this is "version" isn't looking good either, cause Isaac could shoot with skipped time just as easily as without it.

What I think would be the best option, is neither let tears shoot themselves, nor let Isaac do it, solely for the reason that such experience would feel just like in JoJo, because usually Diavolo neither throws objects in skipped time nor uses his body to harm anyone
