Hello! To anyone having issues with being unable to start the Peacekeeper quest from the poster, try talking to Esther if she's showing a main quest mark above her head.

She will, unfortunately, give you the scanning quest and some immersion breaking dialogue, but after completing it, she'll straight up leave you alone and the poster should give you the Peacekeeper quest. So I'd argue that's better than your save being broken.

Now it is possible that having Optional Story accidentally installed at the same time as this mod somehow altered my world files and strangely fixed this issue. It could also be another mod performing first aid, though it would be a mystery which. Regardless, please let me know if this works for you or not.

Oh, right. Might as well add on how your mod also denies entry to any of the story missions if anyone wanted to go to them anyways for the loot and exclusive drops. Making those story missions (via S.A.I.L.) become completely inaccessible is... not nice at all. How are people gonna get the boss drops, figures, or anything?

Okay... so we gotta talk about your adding of the beta S.A.I.L. portraits and such... it's gotta go. It conflicts and mostly overrides any other S.A.I.L. mod, breaking those mods. Also, having the beta S.A.I.L. and changed dialogue is REDUNDANT as other mods do that already. Please, take out your changes to S.A.I.L. so other mods (including S.A.I.L. dialogue changes) can work with this mod instead of Story Disabler overriding and breaking them in half. It will satisfy a lot of people, especially me with the making of All The Star Mods 2.

Has anyone confirmed whether or not the Customisable AI conflicts with this mod? Was looking to add the Elithian S.A.I.L chip mod so that those guys aren't lonely with their human S.A.I.L while the vanilla races get their cool ones. If not, I might just give it a try to see what happens.

I small compatibility patch is needed for Betabound. Betabound gives you the item "Master Manipulator" as a reward for reaching a certain point in the quest "Opening the Ark". When both mods are installed, you simply receive the item from the start, which makes little sense. A patch to make it so you receive it by some other means would make sense, even if this is not a game-breaking bug by any means.

I think this mod have funny incompatiblity with RPG Growth, invovling Mastery require you to kill story mode bosses, results in unable to do mastery. Heads up on that!

So… the whole “not being able to do the Peacekeeper quests” thing is a bug with your mod? Was wondering why I couldn't start that when I tried clicking on the poster— Was wanting to get the Space Synth instrument legitimately but just can't do the Peacekeeper quests required to get that instrument, noticed that I couldn't complete Nuru's quests either, I did the hunting grounds mission to see if that would jumpstart it but no dice. Am I just screwed out of story quests and things now, or is there any way to fix the broken protectorate sword, do the Nuru quests, and/or do anything related to the story? My fiancé might've chosen the wrong mod, if so…

I also haven't gotten around to updating the mod to address some issues (like the Peacekeeper bug) because I switched operating systems and it seems Chucklefish forgot to add the Workshop uploading tool to other OSes, and I've ended up being busy with other IRL issues, so I put the mod in the backburner since I didn't have the time or energy to sort those problems. So I apologize for not having responded to complaints.

Sorry for the late response.

As I mentioned in an older comment, the reason I did the SAIL replacements was because, for some reason, something I did overrode any SAIL replacement mods and made them use the vanilla SAIL sprites instead. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was causing this, so I ended up incorporating the beta SAIL sprites into the mod to "disguise" that (as I personally use those).

It was never my intention to make it incompatible with SAIL replacement mods, and even if I didn't include the beta SAIL sprites, it probably still wouldn't work with them because of whatever bug/oversight I did that overrode SAIL. I wish I knew what was causing that.

This is a very cool mod! My only input is that it would be nice if there was some way to visit the locations of the base-game missions so that nothing gets removed. Random idea off the top of my head to make it work in-lore: a simulation of the space hero's journeys has been made.

Hi, guys! I am writing to notify anyone who wants this mod and has enjoyed the Peacekeeper missions. After you talk with Esther and complete the scanning quest, you should be able to interact with the Peacekeeper poster and start the missions. I hope this helps someone. I know I was worried I wouldn't be able to do both. :)

This mod sounds very appealing, however theres something im curious about, how do mission specific items work, for example, the floran predator armor you can only get via the Hunting Grounds mission, is it added to any loot tables so you can find it in game like the greenfingers headdress?

Funnily enough, this does work with Scripted Artificial Intelligence lattice just fine as far as I can tell!

But there are issues with "Syovere's CYOS - Choose Your Own Ship", where the SAIL will not show the post-reboot dialogue. I don't know what exactly can be done about this on your end, or if it has to be done on the other mods end, but I figured it was worth bringing up.

possibly not something you want, but can there be a intro mod that makes so the protectorate are preparetorate to fight the ruin instead of relying on a newly graduate that barely knows how to craft a wooden stick
the player got lucky their ship was one of the few that escape the invasion
but the whole "graduate from saving the universe academy" plot line falls apart when you realize the character barely knows how to survive the wilderness
and the protectorate force was fully aware the ruin was already inside earth but just having a normal meeting for the graduates

Hi there. I think this mod conflicts with initiating the peacekeeper side-quest story line. It won't let me interact with the poster in the outpost and someone stated on Discord that in order to interact with the poster you need to complete the erchius mining facility quest.

That's absolutely not intentional and I have no idea why that is the case... I personally play with Alt Heads and other mods adding extra hair, and they've been working fine. :/

For some reason this mod disables cutebound? I noticed that multiple races that cutebound and its addons modify have default appearances while this mod is installed?

come to think of it, that does sound pretty reasonable. granted i could've taken the assets of the mod and replaced the sail portraits with my own preference, but i wasn't sure what your opinion would be on that. either way i'm glad to see the reason behind the portraits

@trappu @Terra's Bodyguard I'm not sure why, but even when I didn't make any changes to SAIL at all, Story Disabler seemed to override custom SAILs and revert them to vanilla settings. I personally used the Racial AI Restorer mod, so I experienced that bug first-hand, and since it was overwriting SAILs I thought I'd just add it to my mod directly.

In hindsight that was probably an unwise decision and I should've debugged it further, but at the time I was so sick of running into weird bugs and was so tired that I didn't have the energy to mess with it further and just left it as it was. Dunno why it reverted SAILs to vanilla in first place as I never edited SAIL at the moment, maybe I was just being stupid and it was another mod I was using that did the deed.

Yeah same opinion and question as Trappu. This is a great mod for removing the story. It would be perfect for a custom mod pack I am working on for my friends, ...but that Sail Portrait / Terminal addition is causing issues all around!

Something that changes the gameplay so dramatically would understandably have a high priority set like it does here, But a custom Sail having that same high priority requires that custom ships and other Sail mods have their priority set even higher! ...manually.

So potentially requiring everyone who joins my mod pack session who has a conflicting sail/ship mod to... locate the workshop download, find the pak ID, move to mods folder, rename, find programs to decompress, extract, edit the metadata, and change the priority.

Why on Earth does a Story Disabler even mess with Sail to begin with? There are separate mods that do the exact same thing to sail that could have been ignored if they were going to cause conflicts.
