just i want it for multi Play
Hey there, I did some testing:
It seems that the disappearing skill bars are a conflict / interaction between "Skill Recovery Journal" and "Ultimate XP Tweaker". When you hover over them left of the actively gained skill (trying to read xp of an ongoing or achieved lvl) they disappear.
Our server is running ~300 other mods just fine but when I did some testing or add it on a clean server with just those two mods enabled it's happening.
Thank you for your great work and good luck solving!
Hey! I'm running into an issue using this on a multiplayer server that upon restart, the sandbox.vars file for the UXPT values get reset. It seems to be applying some things when the server starts, as changing the values then restarting seem to have them 'reset' so to speak.
Any insight on how to solve this would be appreciated!
I have added this to my dedicated MP server and while it works for the most part I have run into issues getting some of the multipliers to apply.
Firstly, under the UXPT options MetalWelding modifiers don't work. No matter what I change it to in the SandboxVars.lua settings nothing changes in game.
Secondly, none of the settings under UXPT_Advanced seem to work either. I tried to change the level 0 skill multiplier for every single skill and none of them changed (all still showing as 0.25x). Is there a toggle somewhere that I am missing? Perhaps in the other .ini files which are included in the mod?
I've added the mod to the server, ran the server once, then quit.
I'm just opening the lua file with notepad, is that an issue? Sorry, I'm new to modding.
Thanks
The only thing I'm having "trouble" with (and it's not the mods fault) is balancing the xp running gives to fitness, since I want to increase fitness xp (via exercise) but I don't want sprinting to just level it up by itself.
But what I think it'd be great to have is a toggle with the possibility of not seeing the xp multipliers in game in the Abilities/Skills tab when you hover over the different skills (not sure if the tab goes by that name in english, but the one in between the health and information tabs).
The mod is amazing as it is and I know developing takes time (and the mod is free after all), so if that option could be added in the future that'd be great, but even if you can't I can't thank you enough for such a great mod.
I agree with all your points, and it has crossed my mind to come up with options to set sensible defaults values for the mod. The thing is, the mod and its countless configuration options are already very complicated as is. To be honest, I already think it's fringing on being so complicated it hurts usability, and sometimes wish I kept it simpler, so I really don't want to add even more stuff.
I think a the best approach would for someone who has a lot of experience fine tuning the mods values to fork this mod and release their own version with either the defaults set to something different, or with no options at all and the values being hardcoded.
Balance wise (which maybe isn't your concern), I think 1→1.25 is very insufficient for the investment, especially when Sprinting level currently doesn't increase run speed much (level 1 to level 10 is only 16% faster), and considering that level up cost increases significantly every level. With current Sprinting multipliers (rather than how it is with other skills) it makes the traits/professions too expensive, and makes Fast Learner OP (it's already good as-is).
Overall I think changing the mod isn't necessary, I just think that most people are ignorant about the weird Sprinting mechanic (like Aiming), and hence might want an option to make it consistent, or at least to remind them about the mechanic.
Not sure I understand. The sprinting skill is the only skill where the default XP Boost numbers seem fair to me, as they are 1.0, 1.25, 1.33, 1.66 for 0, 1, 2, 3 starting points respectively.
It's the other skills that are truly weird, like Strength and Fitness, where the XP Boost doesn't work at all, or all other skills, where its 0.25, 1.0, 1.33, 1.66.
Changes:
* Added Spanish translations
* Removed spammy printing into the debug console
* UI presentation now correctly takes the new XpMultiplierAffectsPassive setting into account
I haven't played this game in quite a while, so I'm not certain if I missed any gameplay changes that this mod needs updating for. If you know of any, feel free to share.
default xp multiplier is x1 + mod's multiplier x1=x2 xp multiplier?
They would multiply
Try looking for the map_sand.bin file and delete it, usually that fixes the problem.
