its also apparently latin for "the stars" which is ALSO a fitting name for an artillery piece.

haha, just a coincidence. I picked Astra from the Hindu mythology. It's a ranged weapon with supernatural energy channeled into it. Just thought it might be a fitting name for a artillery system.
