Make sure all the sound files you want to replace are 44100 Hz, Garry's mod can't handle anything above that I suppose so that's probably why your game startup works just not your ui files.

Also i got a question how to make something like that myself?
i mean make my own ui sounds,
because if i replace the "gamestartup.wav" with other sound/music then it works, but the ui_#####.wav doesnt seem to work.

So, for first it didnt worked so i extracted it into a folder then i have put the folder where i have extracted the addon into gmod's addon folder and that worked, thx for the addon tho its cool af

True, I could do that. I'd rather recommend if you want to extract addons I would recommend using this instead. https://github.com/WilliamVenner/gmpublisher - this is an application used with various tools, it's also what I used to post this addon. It has a downloader that is pretty easy to use, if yall want to download the legacy version of the mod then by all means use this tool.

I have removed any background and mods that would maybe have replaced gamestartup.wav but it's still not playing

I am not quite sure then. I am sorry. It should work just by placing that text in the launch options.

My other menu sounds work just fine

I've checked and I don't believe I do. On game-startup, my console states, "Failed to load sound 'gamestartup.wav', file probably missing from disk/repository." That's all my console says that has to do with this addon in particular.

HollyBlocky and Weed, do either of you have any other menu mods by chance? It should be working the only way it can't work is if one of your mods replace the gamestartup.wav file. I can actually update it to switch the names to be less common like garrysmodmainmenu or something. But If you think you have any mods that change that sound file try disabling them and restarting the game, also it needs to be in the launch options make sure you have +play and "gamestartup.wav" seperated with one space.
