@Ryan I never had that error in vanilla, you must have been using mods that delete a loot table where my mod tried to insert the magazine. Anyway, I added many checks to make sure it can't happen anymore.

You should have high mechanical leve. This is a combustion engine with a bobine, and should use small engine parts too

Make the starting condition lower because homemade things are always less durable.

I think you need to add inside the recipe:
CanBeDoneFromFloor:True

With ISA when I convert batteries from floor, new batteries appear on floor.
