This mod is broken. Don't use until its 1.5 update.

Tons of "Exception while executing PostLoad on null: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" appear when loading this mod.

ive got a probelm or bug with this mod when i only have this mod HAR and character editor loaded (and biotech and ideology) In the charcter editor if i wanna change the backstory it spews an error but not into the debug log and i basically cant change the backstory bcs of it. idk much about logs and stuff to give more info except how ich found it. Have said mods loaded go into character editor try to klick on either childhood or adulthood error pops up in the left upper corner were some alerts sometimes pop up

Great mod. Removing the HAR dependency would be extremely appreciated as HAR has some issues with biotech.

would love a Version without HAR. just can't bring myself to deal with HAR just for backstories.

I wish this mod added the backstories as possible for all pawns like your Tribal Backstories does, unfortunately this mod doesn't work well with Medieval Overhaul because no pawns spawn with these great backstories.

I would also love a version that doesn't need HAR. It seems to have broken my pawn rendering in strange ways. Regardless, amazing work and thank you for updating to 1.4!

My other backstory mod doesn't need HAR, but this one does. I wanted to be able to gender-lock some of them as well as easily tie childhoods and adulthoods together so a prince doesn't randomly become a peasant. The reason is basically my pickiness about what happens in my own playthroughs.

Might I ask why we need HAR, and if we can remove the requirement? Other mods add backstories without HAR, and with BioTech HAR has just become a little wonky and many of us don't use it.

All your backstories show up in Character Editor, they block the supposed works they have to block but they dont give any skill bonus - its just blank. Anything you have seen?

@Shenanigans bit of a bug with some of the backstories specific to gender, it seems to allow pawns that are male to have say "the seamstress" backstory and the female body shape, as well as men having the backstory for mad queen; it's odd because you've coded it correctly to be specific only to one gender (i.e. 100 commonality with female); so not sure if a change to HAR has caused it?

Any chance for 1.4 update? Since backstories are in defs now and no longer require HAR

Idk if this is intentional but I picked up a pawn with the Apprentice childhood and noticed he didn't have natural meditation focus

@KalkiKrosah: The Humanoid Alien Races mod doesn't actually add any alien races on its own, it only provides the framework to make that possible. It also happens to make it possible to easily add new backstories, hence why this mod depends on it.

So I need to have the "Humanoid Alien Races" mod running in the background even if I only want to play with this mod? I am trying to get a medieval Rimworld game set up. I would rather not have alien races ruining that immersion.
