I have switched to the LAND BATTLES mod that can also be found in the workshop. That one works perfectly. Wanted to support thid mod, but the inactivity forces my hand :-)

The new update messed this beautiful mod up.

Helmgart needs to be put back to being a fortification. Easier to take in the beginning of the Empire campaign, means its going to be harder to defend...

Anyone knows if the other mod "More Land Battles" is working? Comments are disabled...

Just to be clear: Capital settlements will always be siege battles. ONly Minor settlement (regardless of walls) Will in most cases Sally out and attack you. I say MOST cases...because it doesn`t seem to always work.

@Catpuppy...lol, are you serious? THen DO NOT USE THE MOD! haha.

This also seems to apply to forts, not sure if intentional. Attacking forts / bastion will make the AI sally out, even though they are walled settlements. Personally I'd like them to remain as they are normally.

Yes, ports have several HARD restrictions that nothing else does. The options this mod (and others of its kind) change are options that do not exist for Port structures whatsoever.

Why is it that literally every mod that addresses the minor settlement battle thing exclude ports? Is it a technical limitation?

Thanks for creating this mod. My favorite part of the Total War Warhammer games is getting to play out the tabletop-style field battles I wanted to play as a kid but could never afford. Your mod lets me experience that magic again in Warhammer 3.

I've been using the mod with Immortal Empires (patch 2.0) and the previous two patches. I have encountered no issues.

It does not work any more.

This mod works only for the AI <- (Because they sally out)
If you do not do this...your fight will still turn into a walled/settlement battle.

TL;DR: It does not affect the player

Does this only affect non-walled minor settlements?
I have invested in walls for most of my own minor settlements, so I don't really want to make it easier for the AI to attack me.

This mod was working fine at the start of my Greasus campaign, but stopped working when I got down to Ku'gath Plaguefather's territory. I noticed someone else mentioned that as well so I'm gonna assume those settlements specifically don't work. Not sure as I haven't fought any others after Ku'gath yet.

As Eathaine I've had one battle come up as settlement, but the rest have been working OK with field battles.

If this becomes a fully supported and updated mod, i think this deserves a dlc price. As i read at comments, it has problems now tho.

Playing as Kairos and fighting Nurgle in the southern wastes. They aren't sallying out here either.

I can confirm that I'm having issues with Ikit Claw's campaign, and still getting minor settlement maps. Oddly enough, I didn't have this issue with Karl Franz though.

I think the new settlements are the ones that aren't showing up as a land battles, as the mod needs to add them in.

Played as Imrik and every settlement battle was a land battle, played as Kairos and first battle was a minor settlement still

Check out "More Land Battles" mod, does the same thing as this mod but it works 100% with IE. Only ports become minor settlement battles

Will this ever be updated?

First my appologies for spamming this thread. But, I have been playing some more. And I can confirm: SOME Battles turn into land battles. It does seem to have something to do with location/ WH2 or WH3 Settlement or just plain random.

At this point i am not sure. I`m not going to update this thread anymore untill the author responds. But, I can confirm now that it works about 70% of the time.

I said below that it didn't work. I wasn't aware that you have to activate it manually in the mod manager. Now it works!

Think Kill The Masters is on to something. Because I have been playhing today...and to my surprise...SOME battles did revert to FIELD battles instead of Settlements.

So at this point i`m just terribly confused as to what is going on.
I`m just glad at least some turn to field battles.

Tried this Mod as it's the only way i'll play the game, unfortunately when I activate in mod manager it says "outdated". Tried anyway as Alarielle for the high elves and on my first turn the settlement battle still was a settlement battle. Will just be patient until it's fixed I guess.

I've tried something and got the feeling that new and adapted areas don't work. Old TWW2 areas seem to work. Is just a feeling

Works fine. Try resubscribing if you are having issues

I keep in mind the load order.
I keep in mind that this does not work for PORT settlements
and I keep in mind that the factions I play have walls/right tier settlement.

Still it does not work :-) I mean, i`m just giving this information here so the Author can see what is happening. I am not complaining, and I am patient. I just want to give as much information as posible to get this working agian.

LIke Nastashagmt said....this game is just unenjoyable with all those annoying shitty choke point battles. (I mean, its literally the reason I only play skarbrand in IE, since he has the least issues with Choke points)

You're wrong Jolly Good Sir. It works on IE. Just make sure it is Active in your Load Order. Simply being subscribed to it is not enough mate.

Yes, when you start the battle underneath you see the text: "Enemy sallies out into the field to fight you" (Or something like that)

But, when you load into the battle....it's still a minor settlement battle.

I tried this on 3 different settlement, and they are all minor settlement battles.
(Played as Skarbrand in IE today)
