Does this actually allow you to play the story of RoC in multiplayer?

You would need a new campaign setting, I think. People like ChaosRobie can do it, if they would be interested and have the time for it. Maybe he or they aren't interested or have the time, or both, but you don't lose anything for asking (hopefully).
I have to agree with you it's a very interesting idea.
Maybe suggesting it to the studio itself too.

I don't agree. Some may want to play a smaller more focused war and not a huge world war all the time. Also load times are alot worse in IE. Even with a good computer. :)

van xpu mayve a Mod make, that activate Chaos Rifts in IE or better with the Portal System for a Sandbox IE Campaign with Chaos God Lands and Mechanics ??

@Elkstone this is basically a mod that lets people use the Realms of Chaos campaign function as a sandbox, with the rifts never opening up. It was super popular when IE didn't exist and because less so when it became free. Some people still want it now though since they just like the smaller map focus

Works but crashes after turn 3-10 randomly. waiting on a update to fix it. other than that love the idea of the mod rather than trying to rush rush rush stupid campaign.

It would be great if this mod allowed us to toggle the gates On and Off in the a ongoing campaign. I just tried the Daemons of Chaos, the game triggered the first story event, but after it Ursun never roared, I was like at turn 50 and the rifts never showed up, somehow the scripts were broken. Maybe if by triggering the rifts by force, that would have fixed that campaign

Too bad that the toggle for this mod is placed on top of the toggle for sea lanes. No way to know if I've toggled sea lanes or Chaos except by playing through the campaign to see what happens with Chaos :(

Mod seems broken - setting in normal campaign disappeared, instead overlaps with a setting in IE campaign (where it isn't relevant).
