Is this done by just turning the trains to AI control or is there more work than that?

you can put the mods into "mod required" tab

Waffles... Theres no direct way in-game that I know of to check the mod names so I've had to look at my subscribed list here on Steam. I suspect these might be the ones you're missing and if not doesn't hurt to download them anyway.

hi the only trains and cars i am missing the diesels locos and most coaches the all green and red ones and the brown creme ones thats it anyway that my missing quickmods

I am sorry to hear some of you are having issues downloading the map. I'm not really sure why some of you are missing mods. After the initial comments I re-uploaded the map being very careful to add everything and once done I tested the map on a separate PC without issues.

If someone knows an automated method of listing the used mods and can tell me how to use that I'm happy provide a list however I'm afraid I don't have the time to do this manually.

If you do want help please also be specific about what assets you are missing. Which train is hauling white boxes? The colour of the engine hauling these missing assets? The line it is on? The more info you give me the easier it is for me to tell you what asset(s) to download. Essentially help me to help you.

j-irene I'm very happy you enjoyed the series. The channels small but attracts a varied range of viewers. I had a 100yr old gentleman emailing me not so long ago about how to do something on Trainz and I get regular messages about content from kids and teenagers. No matter the game its good to see our train and train set hobby has such a varied age range. Happy gaming :-)

Very detail i can say

I'm likely to rebuild an older room style layout I produced some time back that, honestly, I was never completely happy with. There's actually a number of older layouts that I find myself debating rebuilding.

Many many hours. If you click on the link in the description it'll take you to the playlist of the entire build. 26 episodes starting on on Jan 28. Each episode inc the video editing part took around 5-6hrs.

how long did it take you to build this layout?

Yeah... I talk about the loco/ carriage selection around half way through the series on YT. I sorted everything I might want to use into 2 groups by size and these are what I chose based on that. The size difference is actually quite significant and I had to make the selection early on as scaling all the other assets such as people, platforms, buildings was all based around the selection of trains. And so yeah you're right the selection isn't exactly British but I think they work & look fine together.
Good luck with your own build. It was lots of fun building this and hopefully you're enjoy it as much too

I like the look of this, and it makes sense, given the lack of British locomotives, to use the various NZ engines. Though, as a suggestion, I'd say rolling stock wise, maybe the LMS coaches would be a better choice, as they're more to scale. Though the Deltics are way out of scale, which stinks.

This is also giving me some ideas for a similarly themed and designed layout. Though that one is going to require a bit of reskin work on my part to get a reasonable representation of a particular train set type.

ctompkin7: My advice is to keep everything random. Random heights, random placement and random colours. Nature is random so when recreating it so should you be.

Cheers Franks. It was a really enjoyable build over a couple of months. People seem to like it and at least a few told me they bought the game because after watching me the could see what was possible using your build mechanism. Keep up the great work, it's a great game. The AI update is also what completed the build. Wouldn't have been the same without it :-)

Sounds like there are missing assets. For the time being it might be possible for you to manually download them from the workshop. What I will do though is go through what's included in the package and try to fix it. Assets have be manually added to the package in game There are 155 pages of mods listed, each with around 10 mods per page and you have to manually click a tickbox on each. There is a high likelyhood I missed some causing the issue. I'll have a look later.
