I tried to use the mod but it doesn't seem to work as intended, creatures with armor like insectoids or colonists in heavy armor appear to have 100% damage absorbtion and become effectively invincible.

作者你好,游戏中实际上是这么写的,以创意工坊的描述不太一样(中间那条),以哪个为准?


若随机数低于剩余护甲值的三分之一,则伤害无效。

若随机数大于剩余护甲值的一半但不高于剩余护甲值,则伤害减半,并且改为钝器伤害。

否则,剩余护甲值会被乘以一个 35% 到 100% 的随机数,然后让伤害按比例减少这个数值,如果一个锐器伤害按此方法被减少的伤害达到了二半,则该伤害类型转换成钝器伤害。

这个 mod 不错,其他的护甲 mod 都只能减半伤害或者不减伤。小人那点不建血量,要么全免,要么一枪就废了。。。用了这个好多了,而且血量里面能看到减伤系数。要是能再加一些设置就更好了。

I am also having trouble with this mod in regards to combat, specifically an error concerning melee range of animals spams my debug log as well as tanks my TPS significantly. Tested it with only this mod enabled and still had the same issue.

When enabled this mod seems to be breaking ranged and melee combat, resulting in all misses.
Maybe a conflict with another mod but figured it was worth mentioning for others having problems.

If both modifies the penetration algorithm, its probably not gonna work. But if you disable the modified penetration algorithm in yayo, you still can use this mod

In the setting there is a setting that says something about penetration and in this mod the armor penetration algorithm is the same or am I just plain stupid?

I have a question because I'm a dumb dumb; do this work with mods that unlock max armor rating? Like Unlimited Armor.

For example, if an amor value after reduced by penetration is 100%, in vanilla, half of your attack will be ineffective, and another half of your attack will have its damaged halfed, while in this algorithm, only 1/3 of your attack will be ineffective, and the other 2/3 can always cause some damage, more or less.

No, the calculation for penetration is unchanged. However, on average, this new algorithm makes all heavy armor a bit easier to be dealt with.
