very nice, i flooded a random civ with scouts to the point where leaving the capital city wasnt even an option

Yup, I modified it quite a bit and there's serious debate about including this into VP or expanding the mod itself. Happy to see your opinion there :P

thanks 4 making it and your time/work so we all can turn a few mods we have subcribed to on and turn a few off that's what makes this ---say---dont get to boring.if u will LoL!! Although scoutscan attack and YEAH its weak but with honor policy when fighting or run up on a barb. you want die at least by 1 maybe 2-3 but got to have the barb.Extra unit spawn from there encampments i use that mod some cause of the mods that refamped the

Mhh. I might create a replacement-mod if the author of the old one decided do abandon his version. I'm pretty sure I was subscribed to his mod, but I don't even have it in my mod list - do you know when it was removed?

can you add submarines to this? i've downloaded sub ignore borders before but they always get taken down

Well, submarines can't enter enemy borders by default, but yeah, you could also use a promotion that carries over. However, it only gets activated for units that are produced as scouts and then upgraded, explorers etc. would not get that trait.

So in fact I've just rewritten my mod to make it into an actual promotion so that it sticks around after upgrading a unit (will upload soon), but if you want to actually produce explorers, rangers etc. to automatically have that promotion, then that's something you'd need to ask the author of the other mod.

No, those units will not be able to move through enemy territory. It should be compatible with the mod, but scouts will lose their ability to move through enemy borders once they're upgraded.

There is a mod to update the scout into an explorer, ranger, and then to special forces. Does the same apply to these units?

An idea for this mod, as for the player to NOT being able to explore the whole map to early in the game. Could be to restrict the IGNORE BORDERS (promotion) to fx. (1) only available the first 10% of the total turns in the game OR (2) restric the unit to not be able to move across (embark) water while (still) being able to IGNORE BORDERS... Thou this is not gonna work for a single landmass based map, as the restriction would be (almost) obsolute in this case.
