Yeah, but it just bothered me that they of all people have the Christian symbols. Alfred has a Wyvern but the VIKINGS have crosses?! This just gives them more of a Viking "feel".

Worth noting that Northymbre's King Guthfreid was a Christian, as was Guthrum/Aethelstan after losing to Alfred and establishing the Danelaw. By the time the game takes place the occupying Danes of the great army had begun to Christianize in droves as they settled among their new Saxon subjects. Northymbre would flip back and forth between Pagan and Christian kings as the period continued, but Christianity would only become more common among the Danes.
