It takes them a while to sort out their new features since there's no test branch anymore...
Pros: lets you command the hoist and have a victim strap, has a control sheet on the side, has a platform under the hoist so you don't fall, and is compatible with omni bucket and sling.
Cons:
kinda likes to drift when you try and hover, making it difficult for hoist rescues when you have to stay in a specific spot.
overall 8 1/2 of 10
Thanks! I've thought about doing a Sea King. Maybe after some other builds I'll get back to a few helis. What I've learned with making my Canadair could be applied to it well.
I don't suppose as a heavy SAR helicopter you'd look at something like the old RAF Sea King helicopters in future? :P

Just extend and retract the winch arm... it will pull you into the door far enough to easily get out. There's a secondary winch inside that can pull the harness all the way in for storage also.
Sounds like you are being a bit heavy handed on the controls and impatient with the winch.
The harness does fit through the door and step wont flip you if you don't jerk the winch against it.
In my testing I had no issues falling while using the winch.
The fan doesn't engage until you have over 30% forward cyclic/pitch so it gives room for maneuvering. I know the fan isn't the ideal solution, but it's 1000% better then a heli that can only fly 60knots or tilt forward 80 degrees to go 100knots...
You might be better off letting it hover at water level and simply walking in and out of the rear ramp... npcs on follow will even follow you right up and out of the water.
Yeah they even take damage well from the AI forces... I was surprised how well this took damage from a AAA gun.
I've got a few more models to release then will probably either finish up the tilt rotor or do some planes.
