And the descriptions, i found some random guys using my map in a sandbox and I noticed they didn't actually use the buttons probalby because they didn't know how to. So yea,
Thanks for helping i like the feed back :)
My computer crashed a while back and I lost all my stuff. So I will have to figure out how to take the .gma file and get the map out of it so i can decompile it. Or mabey the map is saved somwhere when I run the map? Anyway, I'd like to get back to editing this map so if you know anyway I can get my map back that would be great. If I remember correctly, I think it's possible that one of the programs that is used to publish addons to workshop also allows you to download them to your computer in raw form... idk.
~Replace doors with func_brush and delete it when the race starts (then spawn new) Use func_template and "ent_fire door_... kill" input
~Add the staring equipment on the other side to let racers use both directions
~Replace TF2 props and textures with HL2 ones so nobody gonna get errors
~Add cubemaps (env_cubemap)
~Set a better skybox texture. The current one is not bad but there are better ones
~Add a skybox to extend the visual part of the map
~Some blocks look strange, modify them so they will be more realistic
~Add a displacement for the grass
~Add descriptions for buttons so players won't have to read the map documentation
P.S.
You're doing a nice work, do not stop.
Dont get angry, i just wanna help you develop the map.
+Long track
+Many Functions
+Nice starting bell
+Finish sound and a light
+Using teleports is a great idea
Cons
-Doors kick my car when they open (prop_door_rotating "door_left" and "door_right" pos -13935x 160y -1933z and -13935x -181y -1933z)
-Only one direction of race
-TF2 props (not all players have tf2 installed, they will see them as errors)
-default reflections
If you Love this map sooo much! don't be afraid to leave a comment
i think the gm_bigcity is spelt differently but just type it into Gmod workshop searchbar and youll see.
i think gm_bigcity is better for planes because there is more open space above the buildings and such.
Do you use WAC for dogfights? The controlls, if im correct, are kinda hiperactive for the jets. Although the helicopters are good... I've used the helis in this map, and it feels somwhat crowded. But If u wanna race planes, I bet that will work
But yea its pretty tall.
I know the map right now has barely any decoration, but the map itself works the way I wanted it to work!
Thanks,
