i dont do things reliably, i do them the way im used to doing them. a friend of mine developed the transmission, so im not 100% sure how reverse works. i do need to optimise my microcontrollers with some more use of composite. however, my current system has its advantages. sometimes you can't always fit a huge 'one and done' microcontroller. In my experience, my stuff is reliable, just complicated. I put a lot of effort into survivability, be it with separate subgrids or simplified drivetrains. I try to make everything accessible to repair, but since this design, while only uploaded 4 months ago, is about a year a half old, the engine design is not the most efficient.

I was on my server and this fireball was rolling down the rail line. I stole the fireball to see what was inside and I think it was this truck. =| The thing is an absolute nightmare to work on. I had to rip out the engine control micro and most of the plumbing around the engine and all but one of the clutches to get to something that will actually drive... Yeah, you have to use a whole stack of my controllers to replace the one-and-done solution for engine control on this thing, but my stuff is actually reliable! How was reverse gear supposed to work on this thing anyway?
