As someone who has actually made some battle loot compatibility mods - assuming you don't have a ridiculous number of units it's super easy, I'll back oort object up 100% on that. Base game genuinely does have a ridiculous number of units, something like Elysium Remastered would be pretty brutal, but your typical class mod? Easy.

I'll also confirm that copying preserves the drops assuming the other mod has a lower modprio than this one.

im certain it does alter the tilt of the balance of power between the classes as played by ai, though i'll note that the baron and senator do tend to dominate on an equal difficulty (read: ai resource bonus) basis. i'm interested in hearing any specific insights you have to share, i prefer to make things less fucked where possible really

this makes certain ai classes incredibly hard to beat. I like the idea, but I also hate giving the AI any extra advantage since I'm relatively new to the game.

anyway seriously though, you can learn a hell of a lot by just opening up mod files and just seeing how the author has done this or that. huge part of how i got started

the way it works or at least is supposed to work is, it has a few lines of code for every kind of creature in the base game. it may or may not work as intended depending on which mods are in the mix.

it won't affect entirely scratch made units. it might affect those made with copy-commands, depending on mod execution priority, but this is not an intentional effect and the reward may be wildly off the mark.

(i need to get around to making a couple corner patches for my own mods wherever i've added new units, actually)

anyway its complicated and hard to predict! i mostly just worry about making sure all my creations work together

that said, creating mods for personal use can be relatively easy and low-effort, especially if one's just making tweaks and/or using the files from other mods as reference. feel free to crack any of mine open for that.

basically, the new faction renamed a unit referenced in the mod. mod needs to be updated to account for all the new content in the faction anyway. should be done in a few days, apologies for the inconvenience

The Damned Merchant does not appear to be accounted for in the files. Shows up in the demon capitol.

Could this get resource rewards for other factions? Sacrifices and hands of glory stick out. Herbs/fungus might not need it, let alone make sense. A handful of gems could also be good lord for those that want them.

Love the mod but i feel rewards are still too much. While it makes campaigns last longer and haver armies with high tier stuff, im still floating in gold and hammers.

Guess same thing happens to the AI.

Great Mod. Always thought you should be able to take some Loot from Battles. Fits how i play on the hardest levels well as gives me a chance to get more income. Thanks

after some testing i think im probably going to cut the gold rewards just about in half. i did not realize you gain the rewards from your own losses (this ultimately does make the most sense i just expect something other than that from the experience of modding these games lol)
