It's very basic, but just my thoughts:
It's a similar note to the original, but not as jarring, and not quite moving towards a crescendo like PZ's original sting.
A minuscule delay might actually add to the drama: seeing the zombie, followed by the panic hitting. Like normally we react, and then we shudder.
Makes things much worse. The sense of vulnerability comes after the panic - keeps unsettled for the rest of the game.
Idk, just a thought

I just checked it works in 41.54. There should be no problem unless using another sound mods.
