It's very basic, but just my thoughts:
It's a similar note to the original, but not as jarring, and not quite moving towards a crescendo like PZ's original sting.

A minuscule delay might actually add to the drama: seeing the zombie, followed by the panic hitting. Like normally we react, and then we shudder.
Makes things much worse. The sense of vulnerability comes after the panic - keeps unsettled for the rest of the game.

Idk, just a thought

@American I thought about making a mod with Gundam series stingers, but I couldn’t come up with any good ideas, so I’ve put it on hold for now. Maybe someone has already made something similar, but if I gather more stinger samples later, I might give it a try.

This will fit nicely for anime character mod
it not that I don't like the old sound but the default used to spook send me flying so

I associate this sound more with Shin Chuka Ichiban's "DELICIOUS" scenes more so that makes it better for me!
