I build the ship some years ago, that's why it has no defense guns and the acceleration is slow. Just use a Shield Reinforcer and forget about HP.

Excellent start!

A few suggestions, if I may.
Add a few turret bases to the bottom, at least for defense guns.
Enlarge the engines, acceleration too slow.
Additional intertia dampers, deceleration also slow.
Add armor to strategic places, hull is squishy.
Needs a minimal cargo bay for missions.

If you disable reflections in the graphic settings it will be more black. I uploaded screenshots with reflections on and off for reference.
