Well, I haven't tried "mushrooms are ok" but they shouldn't interact that much with each other. That mod is disbaling the "despice fungus" default option and this mod here is adding variety to the precept itself. I tihnk, if you use idelogy developement +, this mod and that mod you get a nice synergy as ID+ makes quickly picked, static ideos into fluids, mushrooms are ok remove the penalty and fungus precept gives you more options to develope your ideo.
Thank you for making and sharing this mod.
At worst one would overwrite the other (depending on load order, if both defs are named the same).
It could also be that both mods add their options, in that case you'd have both "Tolerated" options available (if the defs are not named the same). Potentially without being able to tell which comes from which mod.
As the author states that its an XML-only mod, I don't see why there'd be any issues aside from the above.
So there should not be anything game breaking - just overwriting or duplication.
I hope the devs fix this, but in the mean time I'm very grateful for this mod.
Technically, yes.
This mod adds two options for the Fungus-precept, both available to Tunnelers, so you can replace the "Preferred" option.
"Tolerated" makes eating fungus have no affect on mood (available to all).
"Appreciated" gives a mood buff when consuming fungus, without a debuff when eating non-fungus food (only available to Tunnelers).
Only limitation which is kept unchanged from vanilla: you can't pick "Despised" as a Tunneler.
I hear that those are viciously delicious.
Then again, in my opinion, that'd probably make him like fungus even more...
Did a quick test and the Fungus-precept missing is probably not problematic. But the thought didn't get removed and I didn't have time to test whether it ever does get removed afterwards. The thought also behaves weirdly, going blank on mouse over and not showing a tooltip.
My recommendation is definitely not to remove a mod from a save file (unless you somehow make sure that all things related to it are gone from the save file before removing the mod).
But this was about adding it to a save file.
And I don't see a reason why that should not work.
Probably.
Not sure if there's a point to doing so, unless the new fluid ideology thing allows for modifying precepts. Haven't had time to play with it yet.
Do NOT remove it from a save though, I'm quite certain that is likely to cause problems. (It may be fine if no ideology is using the added options, but I'd not take the risk without a back up save.)
@Simmin
I was thinking about it.
Reason I didn't do it is because there's no penalty for eating non-insect meat meals with that precept. So I didn't consider it as important, and to me it makes more sense than the fungus precept.
It probably would not be too much of a hassle to add two new options to the precept: "Don't mind" and "Required" (something like the cannibalist precept, which requires eating human meat every now and then at least, maybe).
Nutrition paste also only has two options.
