I've asked around on a Discord server about the weapons as well. Majority of the people feel that they are fine as they are. I did copy the weapon values off of a few vanilla weapons, so I think the power scaling mostly depends on the gear and buffs that are currently being used. In light of majority opinion, I'm going to leave the weapons as they are unless opinions change. But thanks for asking! :steamthumbsup:

I was asking around and a lot of other people like the idea of a changed ship as well. I found a few alt Floran ship add-ons that I may use, and I think that as long as the ships change the artwork only and not any code in the files, I could at least change the artwork in the mod and not need to make an addon for it. A change in the artwork won't mess up the way current player ships work as long as it's aligned with current ship layout. Players might still need to reset their ship if they wanted the new design though. Addons can be for much larger changes.

Don't be ashamed to ask, really. As long as people are respectful and don't get TOO pushy, I see no problem with it. It's something I've thought about for a future addon if I become inspired enough and get some help from someone who knows how to do amazing custom ship designs. And of course, if modders who's good at making ships wanted to make their own addon without me pitching in, I'm all for that as well. :steamhappy:

ok thx are you by any chance planning to make a custom ship addon sorry if this sounds like im asking to much sorry i just dont like that they use the floran ship because i feel like the bones on it do not fit the fawns at all sorry and do you know if the capsule byos mod still works sorry if im asking to much

Not with my current knowledge of them no. I haven't touched ship files outside of doing some artwork for one. The files that control empty space and solid blocks would be complicated for me to figure out. Plus, with how popular this mod is, I don't want to potentially mess up or outmode people's beloved player characters with the release of a new and better ship that they can't have unless they reset their entire ship to base level. I don't want to force players to start from scratch so I left this race with a custom Floran ship since it still fits. Any custom ships I'd rather be in addons so players can choose themselves.

I'm careful about mentioning SxB on Steam due to how Steam is with certain mature addons and with how some people are. Nonetheless, I've already given the green light to modders on the main SxB website to support my playable races if they wanted to, and I was able to specify that it was really me. I don't mind how people want to enjoy my addons, as long as they are having fun with it. :)

i recommend you specify in the description weather you object to SxB related addons, if one does not want such content based on your mod its best to say so.

I'll have a look at it when I come back to this mod again. I haven't played a balanced game in a while either, being that I've migrated to mostly salvaging older bases and off and on modding. I'll see about adjusting the recipes eventually!

The faun loom is a bit broken balance-wise, as none of the armors require tier-specific materials to craft or learn.

I'm getting kinda burned out for now from trying to get Paint Gun mod revamped and I also want to port another GMod model when I get the chance, but it's been hard to get stuff done since we're gonna try moving out of state. I love this improved ship idea though. If someone else wants to undertake this project, I give them permission to do so because it would take me quite a while to get to it myself.

Crops, farm beasts, crew roles, and blocks aren't added by this mod no. Blocks used in villages and dungeons are all vanilla. The only thing farm related in the mod is plant spells that rain vanilla seeds to plant different grasses, as well as a rain spell to water the soil. And no, I don't have a wiki unfortunately.

I really appreciate all the work you have done here. I admittedly barely scanned this page before installing because I like to experience mods like this without anything setting preconceived notions. As such, I was over the *moon* to discover my first village. Very immersive. You did extremely well and I am so grateful for the beauty you have brought to my playthrough.

Thanks! Oh, Update: Turns out the Blowpipe is absolutely busted so it pretty much carried me through the Erchius Mine, so that helped!

A small piece of constructive Criticism: The Starting Game for this species feels very RNG-esque due to the requirements for the species-specific workbench, since apparently this species cannot craft iron armor.

While yes, Flower Blocks and Petal Blocks CAN be crafted, you first must FIND and mine them to add the recipe/blueprint to your inventory. If your starting planet does not have a Biome or Cave Biome with these specific blocks, the player will not be able to learn said recipe and thus either have a way harder time in the Erchius Mining Facility or get borderline Softlocked, which is my case.

Hello! Great mod! Would it be alright to make a custom S.A.I.L. Chip for your race? Along with non-FU racial traits, and a custom Ship design system? That last one for both “Better Ships”, and “BYOS”.

I'm guessing you have a save created during an older version of the mod before I updated the background wall interior. Anyways, the ship data uses plantblock, grassyrock, and floweryblock, but I also customized my character's ship post-creation by adding petalblock into the mix. The floweryblock is the colorful flowers and petalblock is the red ones.

Yes, you should be able to customize the ship interior to how you like it, like I did for my ship. You can use /entityeval object.smash() while in admin mode if you wanna move things like fuel hatch or other normally unmovable things on the ship. The Faun and Satyr ship is otherwise like the Floran ship but with flowery background walls.

I added basic treasure loot to villages and dungeons, because after thinking about it, I didn't wanna leave travelers empty handed for checking the storage objects only to be disappointed that there was nothing there. XD

@AgentKirin I didn't put treasure in any of the containers in either the dungeon or the village. Partly due to wanting to get the update out sooner due to suffering some major issues with Tiled, and also partly due to treasure pools in many dungeons being the same anyway. Instead, I made the treasure pools solely dropped by the NPCs themselves. You can get Faun and Satyr weapons from hostile guards if you kill them and friendly guards also drop weapons. Villagers drop standard items. I might add treasure pools in the future, but it's not a priority right now as it would take a fair while to edit all of my container objects on Tiled.

The hostile faun temple dungeon doesn't seem to have treasure pools for any of its containers. Is this intentional, or an oversight?

For some reason, a couple sections of the village are still referencing Arcana tiles. Not sure how that slipped by without my notice, but it's likely because I use Arcana so I just never noticed I forgot to remove this. XD It'll be fixed in the next update!

Turns out I meant the faun village, but thank you for checking! I think fixing it was as easy as just removing the mentions of it in the JSON files.
I don't have FU installed either but I figured it'd be worth to let you know about it.

I can't replicate the issue sadly. I uninstalled Arcana and spawned in a faun dungeon. It spawned without issues. I also checked my files. Everything is as they should be, and I'm also not finding any Arcana materials that I forgot to remove from the dungeon. I have no idea why you're running into the issue sadly, might be another mod conflicting. But just in case, try /admin and then /placedungeon faundungeon. If it makes the error again, try that same step again but with Arcana installed. Back up the universe and characters before doing this in case you don't want to use Arcana.

@Pixus That's odd, does it stop your game from loading? I don't have Frackin Universe but the game seems to load fine for me, and I've used the same test patch to spawn them on FU planets that I used to enable them to spawn on Arcana planets. I'll check the codes again just in case and if it's fine, I'll check the dungeon itself on Tiled, because the dungeon is a revamped Verdant Sanctum from Arcana so maybe there's some Arcana materials I forgot to delete.

I haven't played Starbound in a while, but if I'm not mistaken, I think flowery blocks and petal blocks can already be crafted at the vanilla workbench used to craft furniture and blocks. They require plant fibers and flower petals to craft them, which are easily obtainable.

Using vanilla, cant find petal blocks and need to find them to make crafting stations. Any way you could make them already known and in players crafting inv?

They haven't been added yet. I want to add them in the next update, but I first need to find someone who can help me who's good at dungeons. It may be a while as well due to being busy with life right now.
