I've asked around on a Discord server about the weapons as well. Majority of the people feel that they are fine as they are. I did copy the weapon values off of a few vanilla weapons, so I think the power scaling mostly depends on the gear and buffs that are currently being used. In light of majority opinion, I'm going to leave the weapons as they are unless opinions change. But thanks for asking!
I was asking around and a lot of other people like the idea of a changed ship as well. I found a few alt Floran ship add-ons that I may use, and I think that as long as the ships change the artwork only and not any code in the files, I could at least change the artwork in the mod and not need to make an addon for it. A change in the artwork won't mess up the way current player ships work as long as it's aligned with current ship layout. Players might still need to reset their ship if they wanted the new design though. Addons can be for much larger changes.
Don't be ashamed to ask, really. As long as people are respectful and don't get TOO pushy, I see no problem with it. It's something I've thought about for a future addon if I become inspired enough and get some help from someone who knows how to do amazing custom ship designs. And of course, if modders who's good at making ships wanted to make their own addon without me pitching in, I'm all for that as well.
Not with my current knowledge of them no. I haven't touched ship files outside of doing some artwork for one. The files that control empty space and solid blocks would be complicated for me to figure out. Plus, with how popular this mod is, I don't want to potentially mess up or outmode people's beloved player characters with the release of a new and better ship that they can't have unless they reset their entire ship to base level. I don't want to force players to start from scratch so I left this race with a custom Floran ship since it still fits. Any custom ships I'd rather be in addons so players can choose themselves.
I'm careful about mentioning SxB on Steam due to how Steam is with certain mature addons and with how some people are. Nonetheless, I've already given the green light to modders on the main SxB website to support my playable races if they wanted to, and I was able to specify that it was really me. I don't mind how people want to enjoy my addons, as long as they are having fun with it. :)

I haven't updated Starbound mods in a while, but my modding skill has always been a bit rusty anyway. XD But thanks for the input, I'll see what I can do to make it better and update it when I have time.
While yes, Flower Blocks and Petal Blocks CAN be crafted, you first must FIND and mine them to add the recipe/blueprint to your inventory. If your starting planet does not have a Biome or Cave Biome with these specific blocks, the player will not be able to learn said recipe and thus either have a way harder time in the Erchius Mining Facility or get borderline Softlocked, which is my case.
Of course, I would love to see them! Having some more custom additions is a great way to expand the base mod.
I'm guessing you have a save created during an older version of the mod before I updated the background wall interior. Anyways, the ship data uses plantblock, grassyrock, and floweryblock, but I also customized my character's ship post-creation by adding petalblock into the mix. The floweryblock is the colorful flowers and petalblock is the red ones.
Yes, you should be able to customize the ship interior to how you like it, like I did for my ship. You can use /entityeval object.smash() while in admin mode if you wanna move things like fuel hatch or other normally unmovable things on the ship. The Faun and Satyr ship is otherwise like the Floran ship but with flowery background walls.

For some reason, a couple sections of the village are still referencing Arcana tiles. Not sure how that slipped by without my notice, but it's likely because I use Arcana so I just never noticed I forgot to remove this. XD It'll be fixed in the next update!
I don't have FU installed either but I figured it'd be worth to let you know about it.
I haven't played Starbound in a while, but if I'm not mistaken, I think flowery blocks and petal blocks can already be crafted at the vanilla workbench used to craft furniture and blocks. They require plant fibers and flower petals to craft them, which are easily obtainable.
They haven't been added yet. I want to add them in the next update, but I first need to find someone who can help me who's good at dungeons. It may be a while as well due to being busy with life right now.
