Happy to see people are interacting with and saying good things about the chip base i was working on last year.. I unfortunately had massive autistic burnout, I'll maybe see if i can get back into the groove soon and finish off the work.. i think it was actually finished in my local copy but i was midway through cleaning it up.. unfortunately my old laptop senpaku'd so not sure if i still have that save file.. i will have to have a dig

Fantastic job on this! However, is there an easier way of inserting the dice and disc trackers on the faction fortress? Unless I decrease then increase size, they tend to not fit and tilt instead.

First, thanks for a great mod.

I've been playing around with the WIP chip, taking into account the current list of issues, and I have to say it's a game changer. I had found Cloudspire to be particularly obnoxious on TTS, making the piles are a chore and trying to remove a bottom chip is just a massive pain. So very much looking forward the next iteration.

One question: would it be possible to make the the spire chips (armor, range and attack) infinite the way health is? It makes it a lot easier to just delete the chip when removing it rather than pulling it back to the original pile. Although as I'm writing this, I am now wondering if those components are supposed to be limited... (I certainly never run up to the limit in solo mode) Thanks!

Tet: The Chip Base thing is Denzarki's contribution to the mod, looking through the code there's just missing functions for increasing/decreasing attack. I can look into fixing it myself some time, but it might be a couple of weeks as I'm quite busy at the moment! You can just use the traditional chips for now.

I do have a question. Is there a way to edit the hero stats when they are one the chip tray? Like can you increase the attack and range and stuff like that? There is a attack +/- button but we get an error when clicking it. SOmething about the attackplus not being a function

This is incredible work, great job! I eagerly await the chip base update because that thing improves this playability of this game on TTS a ton. The chips are a godsend in the real version and a nightmare in the virtual one lol

Caras: Hello! And you're welcome! I like your cat avatar! To change the default rotation angle press the button with a number and the degree symbol at the right hand side of your top button bar. It'll be next to the person lifting weights, if it's set to 90 degrees you can adjust it all the way down to 15 degrees. 60 will keep it aligned with the grid, if you prefer that!

Hi Tristan, thanks for your work, but I've got a problem: when I use "q", "e" or the mouse to rotate a map tile or a fortress, the minimum rotation is "too big" (it seems to work on increments quarter by quarter, instead of smaller ones that would allow all configurations of map tiles and fortresses to be created). Would you kndly let me now how to solve this issue (or if more details are needed)?

Hi Tristan. Yep., Brawnen works fine. Also getting a couple of blanks in the landmarks (crosspire and cloud spider) if this helps isolate the issue.

That's really weird, Chris, as I'm not getting any errors. The chips are are obj files for the models and .jpgs for the actual images, so really common file formats that shouldn't have any issues. Do any other mods you've downloaded have the same problem? Do the other factions work fine? Try one that's not the brawnen or the narora (as grovetenders, narora and brawnen chips are all from the same file)

Hi Tristan. Trying to load this for the first time. All working, but I get a bunch of "Failed to create token from image - unsupported file format" errors. And all the AI chips are blank (Grovetenders). Can you help? Chris.

Okay, I've found the image that wasn't loading properly! It was loading fine for me, and it was uploaded on steam, but for some reason one of the dice was bugging out when loading in on another PC around the house. Total coincidence I found this. Doing some more testing then uploading it as part of a big update I have coming out hopefully soon.

I've gone through and checked every single item in the mod and all images are loading for me :S I'm pretty sure this has happened before where something is inaccessible for others but fine for me, if someone could tell me which things are failing to load that'd be great and I'll make sure all their files are uploaded on steam.

Game is unusable in current state--landmark chips are being reset to initial bags when I reload my game save and the Setup button reappears in the top right. I sent Denzarki more detail via DM on Slack. Please revert to a version that is playable--this is the only way I can play PvP

If you wanted to check how another mod does it, look at the Twilight Imperium 4 mod, that has setup for finding and placing specific tiles.

Hey, it's been too long since I worked on this that I don't remember much about how the code to grab specific things out of the bags worked. There's really extensive documentation online though, if that helps. If I recall though I don't think you can grab a specific item out of a bag, so when it comes to setting up map pieces it might need to be something like 'grab all pieces out of bag, identify specific pieces, arrange, then put rest back into bag'.

Alright, I've fixed the Brawnen spires and the Uprising spires which were having the same issue. I suspect something like this will come up again in a year or two when another image or resource goes offline somewhere, but at least it's a quick fix! I've also, on request, swapped around the hotkeys for spawning ranged and fortification chips.

Everything looks great and feels snappy. Only issue I'm running into is the Brawnen Spires are throwing up an error. It looks like the Diffuse/Image file is coming up as an unknown file type. Can work around it using something else to represent the Brawnen spires or just removing the image from the pop up so it loads the mesh and not the color, but it feels a little jank to do that. Thanks!

Alright, so I found the issue, the original mod creator just found an image of a green square online to use as the green colour for the Grovetenders spires. I made a new green square, slightly different shade, and uploaded it to steam directly and now the Grovetenders spires use that instead. If any other spires bug out let me know.

The spawning keys are restricted to the numpad by the scripting, if I recall correctly, so sadly no.

I'll check out what's up with that upload, looks like it was one of the files I got from the original mod I stole some of the uploads from, so it's being hosted in a really weird spot!

Great Import! I play it a lot with my friends. Can I change the Spawning Hotkeys? I dont have a numpad and dont want to use hotkey software or virtual keyboard for it.
My Spires are the only thing not loading. I get this Error:

Adarr567: Sorry for the half a year late reply, but all these bags are shuffled automatically on setup, does that do what you want to do or do you want tiles you put back in to be drawn randomly as well?

MrTzatzikis: Working fine on my end, but that could mean that I can connect to whatever server the spires are hosted on and you can't. What error are you getting?

Grovetenders spire minis cause errors when I try to get one out of the bag. Is this a know problem? Is there a solution?

adar567, you could always save the map after doing the shuffling, and then just load that save, it basically resets it without having to do that step

Could we get the ordering for the Market, Earthscape, and Landmarks: Starting (Swamp) Stacks to be changed from Last-In-First-Out to Random? It's easy enough to toggle this myself or grab a Bag to shuffle the tiles, but since starting a new instance is faster than resetting (at least for this boomer), it would be a QOL improvement
