Oh, it's just a bunch of "func_tracktrain"s. They are all bunched up in the same place in the editor to get the same lighting, and each have different starting points along the way up (I think it's seven or nine "path_track" entities along the shaft). The topmost path_track have it's target set to the bottommost path_track, which in turn have the "Teleport to this track" spawnflag checked, so when a panel reaches the top, it instantly teleports to the bottom, giving the illusion of an endless stream of panels heading toward places unknown.

@*Hunter* Those lights are a special entity called "env_projectedtexture". It's used a lot through Portal 2 to give epic shadows in certain areas, but it have few limitations. You can only have one active at once (you can have multiple in your map, but only one can be enabled at any time), and they won't lit your viewmodel. Otherwise, they are a pretty good way to add some depth to a scene, especially when placed behind moving things like vines and panels :)

Hey Dr Orange, how did you get the light to like, shadows basically, with the panel in the glass going up and then another would go up and the shadow, how'd you do that?

@GLaDOS Answer 1: I add a keyvalue called "rendercolor" with the value of the color I want in RGB decimals with SmartEdit off. Every model entity can have this keyvalue, but it's not in the game definition for Portal 2.
Answer 2: Becuase Aperture Laboratories like to show those androids who's the boss!

It's not a parody. It doesn't make fun of Half-Life in any way. Though I might have got some inspiration from Half-Life.

Unfortunately, P-Body is in fact not a game entity. In co-op mode, P-Body is only the rendered part of the player entity. The model displayed could really be anything. ATLAS, Chell, Wheatley, a turret, even a coffee cup. In one level of the Portal 2 signle player campaign, you can see "P-Body" run to an exit door. This is however just a model set up to follow a path, and is as such not a real AI entity. The way I made the player become P-Body is by using a point_clientcommand that recievs the following input:
OutPut name ; point_clientcommand name ; Command ; setmodel players/eggbot/eggbot.mdl ; 0.10
That will give you the P-Body player model.

CamBen, this was INSPIRED by it. Don't think stuff that looks like it a blantant rip off. It's pretty good once you go into it, especially with firing that turret? Do you think you can fire anybody in Into the Multiverse? No!
