running into difficulties where it doesn't like to layer the face sprites on correctly. I have it to a point where it's technically playable but unless I have the demand I want to work on the face first.

I'm trying to update this and the lizardman as well. It's a lot more difficult then you guys think because the way the game handles sprites has changed, meaning I have to make huge modifications to the entire gnoll spritesheet. It will likely be available by next week assuming all goes well. If Gamblor wishes to remove my update I will do so.

Thanks for the detailed feedback @ZakTheFallen. I made a small update recently so that gnolls are OK with / happy with cannibalism, giving you another choice for roleplaying decadence. Not necessary but it's another small way to provide meat and give them fulfillment.

I like the idea of a lizardmen race, and that they should be different from the battle-focused races. I have to say that the gnolls do combine really well with the farmers, they like meat and fish, but also fruit that the farmers also like. A good balance that helps keeps them from each other's preferred food too much.

As for balance, I honestly think it's good as-is. Gnolls can be easier to attract early on, since meat, fish, and fruit are usually easy to come by, but their lower efficiency in non-soldier jobs is a good way to balance that out. They'd make a great choice for a decadent town where non-gnolls do all the hard labor work, while the gnolls are constantly training to be better soldiers.

Thank you for the kind words @ZakTheFallen! Let me know if you have any suggestions for game balance and / or visual features.

I've added some variations in teeth / snout recently. I know the faces look like garbage when the character is dirty (I guess they all do though), so I'm still working on alleviating that.

I am planning to add more races after this one, next one will probably be some sort of generic fantasy lizardmen. I'm thinking something more of intelligent smaller skinks rather than big beefy dinos to add some variation away from battle-focused races.

I'm really interested in seeing what races are added through mods. I appreciate that the preview image is straight out of a d&d monster manual. Good job on the gnolls, they'd make a good military option with the races that like farming and/or wooden structures.
