Anyway, the ratio should be 3-4 CVs per 1 BB/BC, and 3-4 escorts per capital ship. Hence a small max efficiency fleet would be 3 CVs, 1 BB and 12-16 escorts. Consider CAs as anti-escort cruisers, CLs as allrounder and DDs as
torpedo spammers/Anti-Submarine Warfare platform.
AA platform if you want them to. Generally I would advise to mix a bit, for example at least 1-2 heavy cruisers per escort group is a good idea. As Japan having a mix of allrounder CLs, torpedo CLs and A A CLs with some torp and
AA DDs is a good idea afaik, for the US though pure A A CLs and DDs can work.
Even if torpedoes aren't really used anymore, as they're largely obsolete in favor of guided missiles...
Also the Advanced 406mm for any of the Gun Configurations do not show up. Try it: Research "Advanced 380-420mm Battery" and try to put it on a Battleship. It won't show up.
this mod doesn't remove any research from the navy screen, does it?
I am also curious to know why you think it is acceptable to redistribute the entire Battle for the Bosporus DLC.
