I love this mod, but I'm sad that the latest Repentance+ update breaks it. The new item description feature tells you what the blacked out items are, which basically removes the curse completely. I liked the fun of trying to figure out what the silhouette was. It still left you with some challenge. None of this is the mod's fault, though. It's still a great idea. It'd be nice if the mod was updated to account for item descriptions, but I'm not holding my breath.

yall need to stop trying for alt route silhouettes that removes the entire function of the alt path, functionally the reason to go alt paths is to mulligan shitty items and if you knew what it was it wouldnt be a mulligan. being able to see the blind polyphemus makes decisions easy and the entire point is that its a decision

oh now i understand "alt paths", this mod works only on the main routes, not in downpour and dross. Almost lost my mind on trying to find out which one of my mods is blocking Blind Silhouette from appearing. The idea itself is good tho, but i wish it would work on the "alt paths" aswell

Really good mod. Fix needed when going to Home via Death Certificate during Curse of the Blind, as items still show as silhouettes rather than being unblinded, as would be normal.

When i open chests in The Chest while Curse of the Blind is on, the pedestal graphic turns into that of a broken Mom's Dressing Table, this only seems to happen with naturally spawned chests, not the starting room chests.

possibility to make EID descriptions not show up with this? changing the pedestal icons makes EID think they're not blind items and it just tells you what they are

What will be changed in the T. Isaac-exclusive variant? I have been playing T. Isaac a lot lately and this mod works just fine on him.

When I get Curse of the Blind, the items in the floors after it are also blacked out even though the curse is no longer active.

@BedMau This mod doesn't disable achievements on its own, but all mods disable achievements until you beat Mom once without using any mods, so that'd be my guess

I got a weird but inconsequential bug where opened grey chests in the dark room would appear as broken vanities

Items that have already been picked up are still blacked out. And I once had Eye Drops showing up as a blacked out question mark.

Can you add an option to enable it on alt path items?

items that are perposly blind should stay completly blind as they want you to take an actual risk

It was really rushed to be out as soon as the API was out, and I haven't had the time to make it as polished as it deserves since. As soon as I get the time, though, expect a more fleshed out update. Ohhhhhhhh, THAT must be the problem, I have the pedestal overhaul mod on. Now I have to choose between better pedestals or a better curse of the blind lol

the icon still doesn't work :(, and the shops are broken the first time you enter the room.

That is weird; for me, all of the items have the black silhouettes but it still only shows the question mark, essentially only changing the color of the existing curse of the blind.

im surprised people havent been mentioning that with tmtrainer items the sprite is blank

Items are black silhouettes all the time, regardless if you have Curse of the Blind or not. In case this was intentional then the description is misleading, as "reworked curse of the blind" would imply that the actual curse itself was reworked.

Also getting the empty pedestal issue, but was in a devil deal instead

Curse of the Blind is plain not fun, or sometimes game ruining.
This imho should be integrated into the game, this is a perfect solution to the worst antifun curse.
