Шикарный мод. Правда играя на максимальной сложности - стрелять в противников нужно очень метко и патроны тщательно экономить, иначе есть неиллюзорный шанс остаться с одним мультилом Аликс против комбайнов.
Что касается дизайна локаций - мне зашло, может не на уровне самой игры, но что то близкое. Чем то напомнило начало компании Half Life 2, когда нужно сбежать из города. По атмосфере, на мой взгляд, весьма похоже. Респект автору вобщем :)

Pretty challenging! I had a bunch of fun and stress while playing this mod, the combat is good and pretty rewarding when you find ammo since you barely have any ammo. First time I played this mod was a year ago and ragequit on the first part. Then I tried again,I played this on hard and wow that last part was fun. I also somehow managed to not die for the first part and started to die and the end fight. Id like to see you make more of these!

I have 2 problems with this:
1. No ammo to find anywhere in the first section, besides the small box next to the lift which was hard to get to when you had to rush through enemies with 0 ammo in the magazine.
2. Also no indicators/visual cues on where to go, so expect to run around a lot.

(Could also be skill diff I guess )

Great map. Definitely would recommend. Felt like it could've been a level in the base game. The only thing I'd suggest is maybe giving the player 1 or 2 extra mags for the first combat encounter. I had to drop the difficulty down to complete it as I ran out of ammo on my other attempts despite scavenging every nook I could find.

I really like all the details and props that were carefully placed around. I especially liked how in the beginning the shotgunner guarding the prisoner is absent from the cell after the first combat encounter. I like little details like that. I hope you make more stuff.

Great mod! I’d like to suggest adding a 3rd note to the description to help players avoid an issue with the transition between parts. Something like this:

3RD NOTE: When starting the mod, always launch it with both Part 1 and Part 2 enabled in the mod settings. If Part 2 is not enabled from the start, the transition will not trigger, and you'll need to restart with both parts active.

I made the mistake of only enabling Part 1 and couldn't progress to Part 2 because it wasn't active in the settings. This could help others avoid the same issue!

I tried a few times to do the first part after you get your gun but didn't have enough ammo so I'm just gonna uninstall it

Great work, enjoyed this from start to finish. As others have said ammo is a bit on the scarce side but other than that it's perfect!

Don't know if it's the same "wheel puzzle", but for the life of me, I can't find the missing... alien-inside-the-wheel thing. Can someone please tell me?

this could be great and clearly a lot of work went into it, but tbh due to lack of ammo I barely made it past the first combat encounter even after switching to normal difficulty, so to then put more combine immediately after you get off the elevator while providing no ammo refreshments... like what am I supposed to use on them, harsh language? Or is the intention to have the player try to skip combat encounters whenever possible? Not for me

Amazing experience, the first combat got me praying for ammo, got me on the map mood and since then i saved game every 3 seconds.
I enjoyed it so much, it has well designed combat scenarios and good scripted events that will catch you offguard.

I can't recommend this map, maybe on easier modes is more bearable, but it really doesn't seem to be designed for Hard Mode in mind, the amount of ammo and health pickups are abysmallly scarce for the number of enemies it throws at you. From the first Combine encounter I was barely able to get through without abusing saves, many times I lost cause I couldn't give the last blow. I only passed after I shot one's gas cannister.I ended up searching every corner I came across for some resources like a hobo, saving mid game cause I would end up in a fight that resulted on a failure if I used my last bullet. Manhacks became a torture, taking too long with an Elite meant him spawning one of them and might as well re-load my game right there, they are 5 bullets minimum. The last battle came and I thought it was a joke, 2 minigunners and enemies from every entrance while I had no ammo and 1 heart left, I thought it was leading to a scene with the G-Man, but nope, it was an unwinnable scenario.

@bliss Try loading the previous autosave and see if that gets it working. If not, make sure you have parts 1 and 2 both subscribed and then enabled in game. If you didn't have part 2 enabled, you will have to do so and then start over from the beginning.

I did another run for fun with a focus on finding resins. This time I collected 82...................... very nice, the many details that you discover again during a more relaxed playthrough. Well done!

BTW, how many resins can be found in total? I managed to find 77 pieces. How many did I miss?

I've seen that bug once before but not sure what causes it. I hope you reconsider playing it yourself as it's one of the best maps in the workshop.

I know its most probably not the developers fault for this but this has sadly really soured my experience of an otherwise great map, now I will just have to watch it on youtube I guess.

They are both enabled, and also regardless of which part I choose, when I look it the pause menu the saves go into "slot root" instead of slot 1. I also disabled all other addons aside from the 2 parts and still nothing. I have never experienced something like this before.

@Nightmre -_- Make sure you have both parts enabled and that they are both associated with your save slot. You can see when you hover over one of the saves within the slot, and it will tell you what addons are associated with it. If that's not it, I would just start over.

For some reason my save files seem to exist but they don't actually load properly, it just starts me at the beginning.

when i play this for a while the game randomly crashes

health pool of enemies is astronomical. have a recording of me clocking one guy with 6 consecutive headshots...and he was still good to go. you need to amp up the damage because the story difficulty enemies are about the same level as hard mode. i get making it a challenge, but not having the damage payout, lack of ammo combo makes it a quick uninstall

It's a quite nice map.
But i actually hope i can escape from City 17 after the hard fights with the enemies.
Being caught again let things go back to the beginning, did something but useless. It feels not so good.

Hi @Micheal1014, I had this same problem and fixed after picking up the pistol in the box and then trigger combine attack. Hope this helps :)

@Micheal Glad that resolved one issue for you. Sadly, I am not sure where to go from here aside from suggesting a clean driver install/update, fiddling with overclocking, etc.

@Skummeh okay that works but another problem arises running D3D it is causeing me whole video driver crashes and my card is a Radeon RX 5700 xt runs the game fine if i use Vulkan

I loved this mod, but found the ending quite disappointing. I would have rather escaped C17 after nearly dying a few times and running out of ammo quite a bit. But other than that, this is a really well polished mod!

@Skummeh ive tried doing it with no addons so ill try it with the other solution

@Micheal1014 The 2 usual fixes are to switch from Vulkan to D3D rendering and/or to turn off all other addons.

@PrivateHorseLegs love the map but i have one problem all of the buildings in the background of the map are showing up with missing textures for me and ive tried everything i could think of to fix it

Seriously the best HLA fan made level I've played so far. Actually the only one that feels legit. It feels like it could have been a cut content from the game when it comes to visuals. Everything else I tried looked lame and amateurish except this one.

i love this map! It made me think of different ways to kill enemies because of being low on ammo at first.

Very good mod, at the great standard of official valve maps. My only gripe is the lack of ammo, there were multiple times where I had to run away from enemy or just throw a grenade and hope for the best as i had no ammo. Trust me I like searching maps but i could not find any ammo. Other than that. gud map
