as long as uncompromising mode doesn't add a second weapon component it should be all good to use. if it's incompatible it'll crash right away.
(For context, there's a config that makes it so that the Explorer takes more sanity, but no longer has use charges, and is instead on a cooldown.)
A side effect of adding the weapon component was making it take damage.

and with those on it works to refuel the walking cane
You can try validating your game files as well.
I'm not particularly well versed in working with DST servers.
I'm adding Lazy Explorer specific settings for damage and speed and will upload it soonish
