On the bright side, it can now do 48.6 knots. Feels surprisingly stable when I do it, too.
Incidentally have you checked whether the oil will pump lately? I've been having huge issues with that on other tankers since the space update. It does _not_ like to pump liquids out of large spaces.
I am working on a 16M liter tanker, its gonna take a week to fill it up :p
The way to do it properly is having one giant tank set up on the oil island and another one in the artic with those never despawn blocks. so they can keep filling up whilst youre gone. Then have 100 hoses between those tanks and the tanker to fill it.
Other solution is having SW play in the background for a couple days while you go to work and play other games.
I've seen pretty much every tanker on the workshop.
I am pretty sure he took some inspiration/elements from other ships, the walkway on deck mainly, but that is pretty common in nature too.
Most of the hulls are pretty much the same because they aren't a whole lot of way you can make large ship hulls with the blocks we have.

I didnt change the Body of the Ship but just put toe Container Hold Ontop of the actual Oil Pipes, everything else is still the same.
I would really like a Cargo/Containership which also works as good as this.
Bow Thruster could help with docking it to the Ship, and if it would have rope anchors then it would also be possible to use it with the dock rope anchor mod which is awesome and usefull while loading a Ship.
