It's a fine truck but my GOD the first person is borderline unusable, the glare is awful!
It's like sitting in a hall of mirrors.

This is one of the best truck mods out there, and it would be awesome if you could make one with a much improved model. I too returned to the game after a couple of years, and I remembered how awesome it was to drive the 10×8. Can't wait for the updates!

Do the special chassis like the wrecker have their own cargo or are they decor

I think everyone who's still trying to use this deserves an apology. I have been away from ATS for wayyyy toooo long and this is due to multiple factors like IRL stuff (college, work, gym, etc) and interest in other games. I have gained interest in ATS again and now I'm gonna start using Blender for this mod rather than Zmod. Hopefully this means better AO bakes, materials, and improving many mistakes I could not figure out 4 years ago. Sorry to everyone who's waited so long. I can't guarantee a date for the upgrade, but hopefully before 1.55 is released.

Runs smooth and looks great but the windows are something else. It's almost like there is a perma glare on them. Very fine truck to build and drive in 3rd person though!

I ran the thing yesterday it's not a bad truck the windshield is bugged and too dark and the right side mirror is useless but in 3rd person the truck is wonderful

Works perfectly on version 1.54. The best part is that it's completely free, and it really is worth trying. Great job to the creator — keep up the great work!

Just a small note: there's a minor issue with the truck's window reflection — instead of a dynamic reflection, it shows a fixed image. Nothing major, but worth mentioning.

@PowerHouse regarding your reflection issue on the glass, have you explored the selection of sun visors for that truck or is the reflection being caused by a light source inside the cab?
As for the lackluster engine sound-- I suspect you're hearing the games original sound profile for that engine. You just need to pick a new engine sound that suits your taste and add it to the list of engines that can be installed on that truck. I'm happy to walk you through the process if you're not yet familiar with it.

I don't have issues with crashing, but that reflection on the glass makes the truck impossible to enjoy driving. Additionally, why does my truck not sound as good as your video? Maybe I had high hopes because I really like the FSB and the K100E... this does not match that level of quality on engine sound or looks.

mod works. does crash here and there. only 352/362 that doesn't cost $30+

Crashing as soon as you try to customize the truck.
Ironically, the update version I've found on ModLand also crashes if you try to use it.

This mod works completely good, just a few crashes when selected some things on it
otherwise it's good enough

tl;dr - How did this truck gain five stars? It's a horrible mess!

- windscreen/windows reflect everything inside and outside the truck
- windscreen/windows are also way too dark (tinted, unchangeable )
- unbearable noise (and reverb) in the cabin due to missing sound filtering
- confusing amount of different cabins, chassis and accessories (esp. lights)
- cabin/chassis/wheels/accessories glitch into each other in almost every configuration
- humongous file size due to uncompressed textures

obstructed view with dark tint. assuming hes doing that so you go buys his 30$ mod

However there are plenty of good mods out there, like free and paid ones, there might be some good truck mods on the Steam Workshop and somewhere else.

I would suggest KSW Peterbilt cabover truck as an alternative solution.

To everyone who sees this message, I am sorry to tell you, but if you look at the date that this mod was last updated, it was back in 2021, meaning, I don't believe this mod will be receiving any update soon, unless if the owner of this mod says otherwise.
