Yup, blocks all skill gain or boredom alleviation from tv. looking through the error log I saw this one popping up.

Enabling this mod (and following instructions in the description) removed all exp gain from tv shows, tried to spawn in the vhs tapes for the shows and they also provided no xp.

I am not sure what went wrong but it seems something did indeed go wrong somewhere. Problem was fixed by removing the mod from the mod list.

This mod blocks any skill gain via TV shows, Which is a shame because it sounds like a good addition to the base game videos. Blocking skill gain wouldn't matter in a game that no longer has TV. But the fact you need to start a new game means you are forced to see the problem first hand and messes up one of the main objectives of early game being catching all the TV shows for the xp.

I believe this mod to be the culprit in blocking skill gains through TV shows as of 41.69/70/71

You can still try to insert a cassette using the right mouse button, but this will not work in multiplayer. Please fix / fix / indicate that this mod no longer works in MP.

According to original author of Taped TV Shows mod this function is now in vanilla with the VHS loot. But I don't know what this expansion does exactly so... I'm just gonna go ahead and assume it's now obsolete.

Do the Mod still work or is it needed, because there a now VHS Tabes in the Game?

Unsub then resub fixed the issues. I would have tried that first if I had noticed the 3.4 update before playing a new game haha. Sorry about that. Looks like the NOIR station is gone forever, but at least the secret station is back.

Sorry again for the false alarm. I really didn't notice the update until I noticed the missing channels and went to redownload everything. I didn't see a change at first, so I came here. Looks like things are working, though.

TY. As a mostly CDDA Challenge player, I reeeeally miss the super secret channel. But other than that being gone, channels are mislabeled on the radio, TV NIOR no longer comes on at all, the new western and movie channel 3.4 added aren't accessible from the TV menu, and they added back Diane but channel 88 remains empty and "unknown".

At least, those are the issues I've noticed. I've since unsub/resubbed to both mods in case that fixes it. I'll let you know if it does.

Survivor Radio updated to 3.4 from 3.3, that seems to be causing some issues.

would it be possible to have an option that removes the MTV tapes? they tend to make up most of the loot table, and while the electrical XP is welcome it's a bit annoying still.

Hey guys. Apparently some update broke the mod and im just finding out. I've been really busy with other projects as of late and am taking a hiatus from zomboid; that being said I'll carve out some time to look into why its not working when I have the time.

Okay guys, obviously the mod doesn't work as intended right now, no reason to keep spamming the same thing.
I'm sure Erin is just busy with real life stuff, and will come back to update it when all her things are sorted.

the vcr option is gone and the tapes no longer spawn

tapes just stopped working halfway through my play through they worked in the beginning but now they don't they do the animation and the sound of the VHS tape going in the VCR plays but it won't work. Gonna try finding a premium tech tv and try again.

I'm sad, much like BleuCan2 no tapes are spawning at all, and followed the instructions to the letter!

im having an issue where no tapes are spawning at all.

Same situation as DezDoss here, with only this mod and survivor radio. Lock and loads and a couple others just don't play at all. It's a shame cause the whole pack is brilliant.

I followed the instructions and started a new game but none of the survivor radio tapes work. I only have this one enabled, not the original TV Tape mod. I put them in the TV but nothing happens. It does the animation but they stay in my inventory and nothing plays. The original TV shows work.

Still no tapes spawning though, new save, and I'm able to spawn them in using Necro Forge, and play them.

Hey Erin, I've enabled your Radio mod, and followed the instructions, and only this VHS mod enabled, yet none of the tapes ever spawn, even with spawn rates set up waaay high.

I can spawn them in using Module.Item on necroforge, and play them, but they simply don't spawn.

Any ideas?

Ok, just FYI everyone, this mod won't work properly if you also have Taped TV Shows enabled. It's one or the other. Additionally, this mod contains the original 25 tapes from that mod as well.

any other mods that mess with the radio files? Also are you using it in conjunction with the original tape mod?

did a fresh reinstall of the mod after validating files, then started a new game, still bugged. I wouldnt be suprised if it was a mod conflict, i am super heavily modded, im suprised my game runs

Small problem, i followed the instructions, maybe i messed up, but the tapes dont play, they show up in the loot pool and my charachter does the animation to put them in, but the tape never starts.

Was just thinking how great your original mod was, and how it could tie into Survivor Radio, but knew it would be a huge undertaking. Yet you did it anyways, you absolute tank
