Taped TV Shows Survivor Radio Expansion

(I received permission from Tiax to upload this mod)

Hello! This mod expands upon both Taped TV Shows by adding tapes from Survivor Radio shows: This includes Bootleg TVM cassetes, All the Skill Shows from KBS, Prepared for Action, The Private Eye as well as two nearly full length films (painstakingly transcribed to text) The Big Lebowski and Pulp Fiction. Whereas the original mod had only 25 tapes for you discover, now there are **119**. :)

In the future, I plan to add more movies and easter egg tapes related to the story of Survivor Radio.


IMPORTANT INSTALL INFO -- Otherwise it will not work :)

1. Subscribe
2. Navigate to the mod folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600 -- It should be the most recent folder.
3. Go to mods\Taped TV Shows Survivor Radio Expansion\media\radio and CUT the RadioData.xml (do not just copy it)
4. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\radio and PASTE. Replace the file. If you wish, before you do this you could create a backup.
5. For the tapes to be added to the game and actually play, you must also have Survivor Radio V3 enabled
6. Additionally, you must start a new game.

Yup, blocks all skill gain or boredom alleviation from tv. looking through the error log I saw this one popping up.

Enabling this mod (and following instructions in the description) removed all exp gain from tv shows, tried to spawn in the vhs tapes for the shows and they also provided no xp.

I am not sure what went wrong but it seems something did indeed go wrong somewhere. Problem was fixed by removing the mod from the mod list.

This mod blocks any skill gain via TV shows, Which is a shame because it sounds like a good addition to the base game videos. Blocking skill gain wouldn't matter in a game that no longer has TV. But the fact you need to start a new game means you are forced to see the problem first hand and messes up one of the main objectives of early game being catching all the TV shows for the xp.

I believe this mod to be the culprit in blocking skill gains through TV shows as of 41.69/70/71

You can still try to insert a cassette using the right mouse button, but this will not work in multiplayer. Please fix / fix / indicate that this mod no longer works in MP.

According to original author of Taped TV Shows mod this function is now in vanilla with the VHS loot. But I don't know what this expansion does exactly so... I'm just gonna go ahead and assume it's now obsolete.
