I'm not planning to update it, but I'd be totally fine with someone taking this and extending it to other things. (as it is this mod is almost a copy of the game's flowerspawner component)

will this mod get updated? (i mean it work. I just have suggestion)
since it appears that the amount of stuff is hardwired into the game (deducting what i read here)... could this be done for grass tuft, twigs and rabbit holes?
And I have question on how does this work... does the game keep info on how many are destroyed (or are in chests) and respawn them accordingly? or more will just appear over time till certain limit (eventually all could be destroyed if one tried to).

Anyway, thank you for great mod.

@TheFlyingDixieCups it should definitely still be safe, it's pretty simple and doesn't mess with other systems (just adds its own). Let me know if you run into problems though.

I also haven't updated it for Shipwrecked, but the game should know that and just pretend that you don't have it enabled when running Shipwrecked.

Heh, and just after I said that I found a forest in the Archipelago map of adventure mode that has only reds and blues. So it looks like there _are_ two versions of the forest biome.

I agree that there definitely seem to be more greens than blues in forest biomes, so I'm not sure what the wiki's claim is about. Perhaps there are different kinds of evergreen forest biomes?

It's what the wiki claims. I do remember seeing greens in forest biomes too, though.

@Vuohi This is the first mod I made, I actually didn't know how to read the worldgen code at that time. I just made it up based on what I'd seen.

But I'm not sure you're correct in your assessment of worldgen either, green mushrooms definitely occur in forest naturally.

The mushroom spawn preferences aren't quite the same as in worldgen (there it's red/blue for forest, blue/green for marsh, red only for grass, all three for deciduous). Is this intentional?

@raintigress I think nothing would spawn below the surface, but it's been a long time since I wrote this, so I'm not sure. But I intentionally wrote it not to cluster mushrooms, because that would allow you to farm them. I wasn't looking to provide you with new (OP) tools to sculpt the world, but just slightly mitigate some of the permanent damage that can be done.

How does this work in caves/ with cave terrain? Also (just a thought) it might be nice if you added a proximity element, so that my separate mushroom fields stay together instead of having mushrooms spawn based on terrain. Thanks again!

Love this mod. Could you do this for fireflies? They seem like a resource that would fit this kind of seasonal spawning.

Nice idea, makes the game not easier just enhances it. Seems like a legitimate mechanic that you would find in the base game. Good job, I'd love to see more mods like this. Small but significant :)

@Ashido'R9k. I was working on a mod that makes some new systems kind of like farming for planting mushrooms, but it was pretty difficult and I haven't gotten back to it. Hopefully I'll get around to finishing it at some point x_x.

Great Mod, I love the idea.
I don't know if you're interested but I was looking for a mod to be able to "plant" mushrooms to new location, if you think this is too game breaking or you don't want to do it no problem, just thought I'd give you my idea. Thanks anyways :D

@Lord Toadster But then it would make things too easy. You'd end up with clusters of easily harvestable mushrooms and reeds. My goal is to counteract wildfires, not to make the world easier over time.

@Stroomschok No, as you can relocate grass and twigs, in addition to getting them from tumbleweeds, I don't think they need spawners.

Absolutely adore this mod. Honestly, even without Wildfires, I think these changes are necessary irrespective.

@invadertex If you were using it without Reign of Giants (the DLC that's currently in beta), then try launching it again. I wrote the mod for RoG so I didn't test it outside of that, but I just fixed the non-RoG crash, I think.

I would love to use this mod but unfortunately it seems tocause my game to crash and say "the following mod(s) have caused a failure." the the only mod it list after that is this one. My game has no problems with any other mods, so I suspect it is only this one.
