there`s no issues with power itself. It`s restricted on purpose to imitate real helicopter perfomance.

that might be do-able ( a while back I made a guide on how to downgrade via steamCMD) a batch script to do it automatically might be feasible, in fact, depending on whether the rotors getting weaker is due to the new mechanics or changes to the rotors themselves, it might be possible to "patch" the new rotors with the old rotors performance. I would have to look into it more.

I have no idea how it works about mods and stuff. Also, I already forgot why older rotors are better. It seems to me working okay in 1.8.10, so I preferred someone to make mod which downgrades the game itself.

question: would you consider a Modded version if someone were to add a mod to Stormloader that had the stock rotors with modified flight behavior closer to the older values. not saying i would do it because i have no idea how to mod the game, but it might convince me to learn.

maybe that`s because of updates, yep. devs braking things, I`m not fixing that.

i figured how how to remove the tank and i still can only get enough lift at 96% throttle, other then that it flies nicely

i removed the water, it did fly better but for some odd reason, it can only get enough lift at around 110% throttle, i dont know if im missing something but i have seen some helicopters break because an update changed rotor or turbine behavior and they wouldn't make enough lift anymore.

well probably that`s not obvoius. on spawn it carries full load of water. if you drop it and use as skycrane, it will easily fly on throttle like 70% or maybe 60.

yes, sure. it spawns with maximum possible cargo load. of course it will fly on the edge.

i manage to get into a hover but that's at MAX throttle, making the transition very quickly overheat, yes it CAN takeoff, yes you CAN fly it, but it WILL break very quickly from stress an heat

i figured it out, the video didn't mention it but i see that you have to be careful with the throttle at start

i did what you did in the video, fire alarm came on almost immediately and engine quickly died, happens every time i start a engine

engines catch on fire every start up, it does not make enough lift at normal Throttle and just enough at max and spins when it is in the air

Super hard to start it. But I managed to get it working! Props to you for this magnificent work. I think the fact it's almost a puzzle to start makes it more fun

Kind of difficult to figure out at first, but once you got it down. It's a very detailed and realistic helicopter. Good job.

I mean you have to get some overheat and overload warnings, because it`s on it`s limits when fully loaded.

also if you have no warning lights when tryilng to takeoff fully loaded, means you`re just low on power. increase throttle to 105-106.

@kknd[3apa3a] However, I did forget that the only fault I saw was the left Aft fuel pump, it was on, but it was faulty, it had a red indicator.

@kknd[3apa3a] So, I went through the startup perfectly, but for some reason the helicopter didnt take off. I didnt see any cautions or even any faults in the breakers panel. I even tried repairing the certain systems and such via the nose compartment, but to no avail. Am I missing anything vital?

tried setting the spawner to sea water, still wont refil the tank (snorkel is in the water yet the tank isn't filling)

yes, there is an issue - spawner in tank spawns fresh water instead of seawater. I already fixed but not uploaded yet.

seems to have issues drawing water, not sure why though, may have been since i set the fluid spawner to 0% in the water tank

if you exceed transmission limits it will die, obviously. if you stay within limits, it all works fine, I checked.
