I'll try and do it myself, but is it possible to give these districts to the Planetary Diversity - More Arcologies mod? Fortress arcology with the fortress district would be dope.

This mod seems to have compatibility issues with the new Aquatics species pack. The Arcology Project decision changes the planet to a default ecumenopolis rather than an aquatic one.

Pretty big new update, merged foundry and factory districts and changed up Agrarian Idyll's interactions with it.

If you're meaning the ecumenopolis city districts, they arent supposed to add buildings. Ecumenopoli get all building slots unlock (12). If you're not getting all slots then one of your other mods that change ecumenopoli planet class is outdated.

that being said gravity would suffer from mining LOL (also you can't in the current game I terraformed a planet that had high gravity into a continental world (probably gonna re terraform it into a Gia planet) and it didn't remove the high gravity modifier

Thank you, to me it also really seems like ecumenopoli are an inevitable end point for any colony. In terms of magnetospheres I would think that at the point where we are able to make an ecumenopolis the technology to create our own would also be available, considering at the point of creating one you can already control the weather of the planet and gravity.

surprisingly good, point, no reason one of these can't have district scale versions of things like hydroponics bays, or have giant sod off drills into the planets core - might be a bad idea for the sake of the planet's gravity and magnetosphere but still
