Most /all of the elephants aren't open animals. You should be able to assign it to an allowed zone, rather than needing a pen

Would you consider adding compatibility for simple ivory mod (assuming that the elephants drop unique tusks, if they just yield vanilla ones it should already be compatible.

No, won't be adding compatibility for that. It would take a ton of work-- the elephant armor is shaped and has cutouts for elephants, and that would need to be customized for each piece of armor for each elephant.

For reference, [imgur.com] with the vanilla caravan pack as an example.

This one This mod contained the armour texture so I think to make it compatible you need a lot of copy and paste.
