Forewords

This is the last time I upload this as a separate mod, I promise. I only do this because I had worries about the differences in code and textures from 1.3 to 1.4, and feared the issues it would cause.

These issues aside, a great deal of work has been put into overhauling the textures of Edo Themed Expansion, and I would like to give thanks to Sovereign, who reworked a great deal of textures for the mod and helped me out with the update.

Let's talk shop about this update, it was originally supposed to be a texture overhaul and content update, but biotech threw a wrench in those plans, after some thought I decided it would be best to split the texture and content update into two separate updates, as to rush a functional version out for 1.4.

As it stands the texture over haul is roughly 95% complete, a few textures still need overhauls and will be done in the coming weeks. After that the new content will begin.


All previous translations or add-ons SHOULD still work, for the 1.3 legacy version they will require an update for the id, as the legacy version now uses the id "Heis.Edo.Themed.Expansion.Legacy.1.3"

T's Samurai Faction, My mod contains a number of redundant weapons, if that bothers you use My redundancy removal patch

Both T's Samurai faction and Eastern Armory add similar sets of armor, but the eastern armor has extra ones. I believe T has a patch for removing the redundant items.

F.A.Q

Can I disable the Bamboo forest biome?
Yes, Edo themed expansion makes use of Vanilla Expanded Frameworks toggable patches, so you can tick on the "Edo Themed Expansion: Biome Removal" patch to remove the bamboo forest, although it requires a game restart to take effect. Go to the end of the images for a visual demonstration on how to do this.

For 1.6+, Edo themed expansion no longer uses VEF toggable patches for biome disabling. it now has its own settings page to handle that.

KV] configurable map will cause problems with bamboo forest generation, one uncovered example is increasing the fertility slider caused the map to be covered in mud. Other sliders could cause similar effects, not extensively tested though.

The mod is not C.E compatible on my end at least; last I checked there was not a community patch either, but it could have changed.

As for the futon, it probably will probably be getting an overhaul soon. I've started playing rimworld again and this mod is getting another quality pass, some new textures, looking at old content, ect; Its on the list of things I want to change up.

Erm. Petition to buff rough futon? Description says it's WAY better than sleeping on the floor, but it's only better by meager 4%. Actully, even slab bed which is just a smooth stone is better bed than a rough futon for some reason?
Also there's typo in description: it says "then" instead of "than"
Oh, and I think the mod is CE compatible?

Anyway, sorry if I sounded like an ass, a great mod!

Not sure what error that is, I use melee animations myself but ill check it out. That being said the dev auto patched this mod, so I would assume any errors are on his end for this mod.

Excellent! Thank you dude, also minor thing but errors pop up for weapons when using melee animations executions using the edo weps just a heads up

It should technically be useable without edo expansion. There might be a few errors on launch since it tries to patch a mod you don't have; but beyond that it would work. Other then that I currently do not have the time to go and figure out what i'd need to patch to make it work standalone.

More or less how vanilla rimworld does it but, fuck it why not. Kamado is now made from 80 stuff, (wood, metal or stones) instead of 70 steel and 10 wood

Would it be possible for you to change the cost list for the kamados to be wood stuffable like the rest of your buildings? Its the only one that has a set cost list with woodlogs instead of category woody. XD

Sorry, not much I can do because I dont work for the Vanilla Expanded team, VFEC comes from the vanilla expanded framework.

That being said on a side note, I do think I recall having that happen a long time ago, and if I recall it was a mod compatibility issue between Vanilla Expanded Framework and another mod. You might strip down your modlist and see if it still persists.

Other then that there isn't much I can do, sorry!
