If it's still screeching, then you'll need to extract the addon and put it in your addons folder. It WILL work correctly if you do that.

Try reinstalling it in the main menu. That screeching happens when sounds get replaced within the same playing session.

I did, Well I mean...I installed it, but everytime I got in game, I need to re-install it in-game to have the sounds.

Uhhh...Yeah, some of the guns have a screeching sound.
Example: CZ-75 Reloading with empty mag, when loading the gun, it screeches.

Have you tried extracting the addon? If it's folder-based, it will always take priority over other addons.

Ok, I've literally knocked down my weapon mods to GSO and the ArcCW base only and it still wont work, do you have any idea what mods might be conflicting?

Keep reinstalling stuff until something finally clicks. Like Gunslinger said, asset replacements for other addons are historically fussy.

Yeah it gets kinda funky when you try to replace sound assets from another addon because of how gmod loads them

If theres still problems, sub to this first then sub the guns themselves, but make sure they are atleast a page apart

How it works is that gmod loads the addon based on name first from A-Z while also accounting for order/when you subbed to it, its not broken, it just means you need to rename it so it loads AFTER the GSO addons

Extracted, folder-based mods should always take precedent over .gmas. Are you sure you set it up correctly?

By joining a server do you mean just starting singleplayer or do I actually have to join one? I Followed the 3 steps and it still doesnt work. Extracting the files and shoving them in addons with a basic addons.txt gives me no audio for GSO guns at all. Pls help
