Thank you so much for this mod. It has allowed a friend and I to enjoy playing.

I have one question for you about setup. If I have the no round limit option selected, what changes? Are more tiles added into the pot somewhere, or what exactly please.

Hi Carriath!
There are 6 seats / colors available on the table and players have to pick one of the available ones. I always thought this is standard tabletop simulator behavior. Black, to the best of my knowledge is always reserved, otherwise I would have definitely added black, especially as the Orion faction in the physical board game is using black game pieces.
Can you maybe link a mod that works the way you would like me to implemented this one? I promise I will take a look!

Partial workaround. If you do start with 6 Players, one of them choosing black, and then on their turn have them change colors, you can play a 6 player game

More on that card, Just a card next to the rules that says... You have to pick these player colors, this way because TableTop Simulator reserves black for GM. These buttons do this... just a little image explaining the automations you've put in?

Kay, amazing mod. BUT, MAAAAJOR glitch in the hotseat mode, and maybe others. It took me more than an hour to figure this out, your mod locks the player colors to the token colors in the game. Worse, there is no handy "How this mod works" card that I could find telling people this.

Unfortunately that appears to rule out a 6 player game entirely as Tabletop simulator locks the Black token to the GM. We were pretty confused because we had players who wanted to be purple and orange, and it would not go to their turns no matter what I tried.

As a quick fix, can you please add a card explaining the neat little things your mod does? Like the buttons?

Then in the long run can you unlock player colors from token colors? I do get that having the player color match the token color can be helpful, but I think the boards and tokens in front of the players does it well enough.

@Kataya thank you for the kind words! I added alliances to my ToDo list, but things are very busy right now, so please don't expect an implementation soon.
Developments are a 1st edition mechanic. In the 2nd edition some of the effects are now re-balanced and covered by Minor Species (e.g. Ancient Monument), other Developments became Discovery Tiles, such as the Artifact Link. I currently do not plan to include the 1st edition implementation.

Small Update: Pyxis Unity now have a custom control board for resource management, bringing them in line with all other factions.

Would it be possible to also add Expanded Galaxies expansion at some time in the future? Really would like to play this with a large group and alliances seem very fun. Thank you for all your efforts in creating this board!

I've found a way around this (thanks to previous comments). Pull out those tiles before confirming setup.

@Borek Thank you for bringing up the tokens for the turn order variant. My group mainly plays with the variant where the second player who passes defines whether turns go clock-wise or not.
I simply forgot to include tokens for the Turn Order Variant. This is easy to add, I'll try to get the tokens in over the weekend!

Pyxis Unity is a faction from the first edition that has not yet been officially released for Second Dawn.

Why are there no tokens for the Turn Order Variant for expansion races like The Exiles? And where did the Pyxis Unity race come from, as far as I know they weren't part of any expansions I've seen

We experienced the same bug as David where the turn order vanished. I managed to turn turns back on and it all worked again though! Thanks for the mod, it works well :)

It took a while but the Enlightened of Lyra can now be selected as a playable faction. Enjoy!
All expansions are now fully covered and included.

We experienced an odd bug where after we finished the first round and hit "Next Round", the turn order star vanished and never returned.

@mmpgamer During the first round more tech tiles are being drawn according to the number of players (14 tiles for a 3 player game).
For all the following rounds the number of tiles is lower (6 for a 3-player game).

The number is also modified by rare / unique tech tiles being drawn. A rare tech tile does not count against the number of draws. If the draws for the 2nd round include 3 rare technologies, the total number of draws will be 9 (6 regular draws for a 3-player game + 3 rare technologies).
That's the reason why the numbers might appear random.

Played a 3 player network game. Seems like we got a random number of tech tiles each round (7 to 10), when I thought it was a consistent 14 for 3 players. I'm just going by the chat log, so maybe I missed something?

No matter which species I pick the starting materials is always zero. Easy to manually fix but curious bug

@Haruspex I somehow missed your comment, Eridani will now always receive their control board during setup!
@Alexander Individually selecting GCDS, Ancient or Guardian variants will no longer interfere with the game setup afterwards

There is a bug: when you select Eridani Empire during setup, their table lacks a big counter with three circles for population and resources.

@Alexander It's on my list of improvement ideas, but things are rather busy, -I'm not sure when I will get to it... :((
You can choose the *non-default* variants before the setup and simply take them out of their containers without affecting the setup.

Is there any way to choose what ancient, guardian and GDCS to use for the game after setup?

I tried choosing before running the setup but that seems to break the setup, at least for tech in a 2 player hot-seat...

@Sir Gdank Thank you very much for the feedback! The sector tile is fixed.
I also made sure that a discovery tile that is manually placed on the Magellan player board will snap into place with the correct rotation.

@Kay Thanks for the continued support and updated. Two points of feedback on Wardens. 1. Their starting tile doesn't seem to fit the hex correctly - seems misshapen (was sitting at green). 2. Anyway to get their extra discovery tile to snap to the right place on their board? Thanks again!

I just added the "Outcasts" expansion.
Both the Rho Indi faction as well as the Exiles have been updated to the 2nd edition of Eclipse.

Really enjoying this version. (I have the physical board game also.) I just struggling to figure out how you pass? I don't see the option, and when I hit "Next Round" it puts out the new techs, but then I cannot ever advance further than the first player up. Am I missing something? Thanks

@Kallin You can manually select specific versions for Guardians, Ancients and the Galactic Center *before* performing the automated setup.
The bags storing all variants are in the same positions you will find the selected tiles after the setup.

great mod! is it possible to find the tiles for NPCs? I know there is the randomize difficulty option, but what if I just want a level 2 guardians, everything else level 1?
