@SireDragonChester, thank you for your feedback. Have fun

@thefallen201008, thank you for your feedback.
In addition to the information provided by @SireDragonChester,
If you are using mod trucks, it will not always work because modders often make modifications to the exhausts.
I will not support modded vehicles because I would need to hack the mod to collect the information, and I will not do that, sorry.
SireDragonChester 19. okt. kl. 18:45
Its still working fine @thefallen201008. You have either
A) mod conflict or B) bad download or C) have too high or low in mod priority. Un Sub, restart windows then resub. See if that fix it.
SireDragonChester 19. okt. kl. 18:38
I'll check. Havent played in while. want check out the Halloween event.
thefallen201008 19. okt. kl. 14:53
Its not working for me i am running the game on DirectX11
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 18. okt. kl. 7:18
@country_living, thank you for your feedback.
Yes, it needs to be DirectX11. If you start in OpenGL mode, the smoke will look strange, like in Minecraft.
country_living 18. okt. kl. 6:03
So does this mod have to be launched with directx11 never used it
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 9. okt. kl. 11:15
Hello, I added two mods as I did for the game Euro Truck Simulator 2, one with lighter smoke and the other with heavier smoke.
Links are in the description of this mod.
They need to have higher priority than this mod to apply the change.
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 8. okt. kl. 14:22
@that70sman, thank you for your feedback.
The smoke is applied directly to the exhaust pipes. I use an original feature from the game map. I tried to implement the feature you mentioned, but I can't cut the smoke with the engine off, and I can't change the smoke volume according to the trucks' acceleration or gear changes.
The mod presented is the best I can do.
I'm sorry if it doesn't meet your expectations.
that70sman 8. okt. kl. 13:05
Yes I have smoke, and when I am in my garage I also have smoke even when engine is not running. Waiting at traffic light, the flow is always badkwards. There's no change in smoke when gears are shifted; it is like the exhausts are functioning as chimneys for a woodstove burning. Also the smoke is very dotted. It is almost if it was from a cartoon. But yes sometimes it looks kinda nice. Somewhere between standing still and the speed when you don't see smoke any more. I hope this will be updated to something better though.
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 8. okt. kl. 11:54
@coreytaylor_serk, if you have already signed up for the mod, when you enter the first game menu, you should click on the mods tab and enable the mod there.
coreytaylor_serk 8. okt. kl. 11:38
como lo descargo? ya estoy suscrito

@killjoy, thank you for your feedback. Have fun.
killjoy 1. okt. kl. 9:55
Blows my mind this isn't even part of the base game.
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. kl. 15:54
@TTvxTRU3x, hello, I tested it yesterday and again today, and the smoke from the original truck exhausts is working normally.
If you are using mod trucks, it will not always work because modders often make modifications to the exhausts.
If you are using other mods and the truck has been tested and the exhaust is original, I suggest placing my mod higher in the priority list (higher up in the mod list). I hope this helps.
x_M3NAC3_x 17. sep. kl. 15:05
we need a newer update please doesnt work in kenworth any more
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. kl. 5:30
@BEHR, sorry, but my mod will only support the original trucks of each game.
In this case I still need to hack the mod, collect information and create the condition of smoke in the exhausts, this is inappropriate in my point of view, the creator of the mod has the copyright of his work, he must have made many adaptations to make it work in the game, I suggest asking the modder to add exhausts with smoke.
BEHR 24. aug. kl. 4:39
Carlitos,
is it possible to make a smoke mod for modded trucks/non original trucks? For example the K100E or the FLB? Would be greatly appreciated!
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 20. aug. kl. 7:06
@samuraju1, thank you for your feedback.
It says in the description, “This mod continuously adds smoke to the exhausts...”.
If it doesn't meet your expectations, I suggest you don't use it.
DIGITALGATE 20. aug. kl. 3:21
samurajul1, make you one more realistic and for free
samuraju1 19. aug. kl. 20:55
it's unrealistic and if you don't start the engine, it's better to do it like in real life
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 8. juli kl. 10:54
@curtisbraun61, thanks for your feedback.
I've just retested and it's working normally on the current version of the game 1.55*
If you're using other mods, put mine at the top of the list.
If you're using vehicle mods, 99% of them won't work, support only for original vehicles in the game.
curtisbraun61 8. juli kl. 8:34
Can you please update it for 1.55 as it no longer works.
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 30. maj kl. 9:28
@M1lkmann, yes, it's in the description “This mod continuously adds smoke to the exhausts of all original game trucks purchased from the Truck Dealers...”
M1lkmann 30. maj kl. 9:19
does it work with mod trucks also, i saw it working with the haterbuilt an thats the truck i'm using. So i have to use a stock exhaust from the game for it work?
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 29. maj kl. 16:44
@M1lkmann, on the original trucks in the game add an exhaust and you'll get smoke continuously.
The smoke will always be activated, whether the truck is on or off.
M1lkmann 29. maj kl. 15:27
How do you turn the smoke on?
Legend 13. maj kl. 14:17
Understand still an amazing mod helps to bring the sim to life
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 11. maj kl. 12:29
@Legend, thank you for your feedback.

Legend 11. maj kl. 12:17
Wish the smoke would turn off when I turn the engine off
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 5. maj kl. 14:26
@LAC, thank you for your feedback.
I like the smoke the way I created it.
The way it's applied to the exhausts, it's not possible to add shade.
I don't know how to make it react to the wind. The smoke moves as the vehicle moves.
Sorry if it doesn't suit you.
Green Giant 5. maj kl. 11:00
Make it so the smoke isnt so thin and cloudly looking and make the smoke have a shadow on the ground also make it so the smoke reacts to the wind also make the smoke more full
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 26. apr. kl. 12:21
@meccagramling7, I apply a game feature to exhausts
meccagramling7 26. apr. kl. 12:16
how do you activate the smoke
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 26. apr. kl. 10:40
@CAPTGFD, thank you for your feedback. The smoke has been revised in the version 1.50* update. Have fun
CAPTGFD 26. apr. kl. 7:18
Looks like the smoke is darker and fuller. Did you update it to look like that. I like it!
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 23. apr. kl. 4:29
@Tattoo Willi, thank you for your feedback.

Giod Mod so far, but it smokes when Engine is off too.
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 17. apr. kl. 5:20
@LumpyLumps, it should be working well for you.
If any other mod touches the same files that I modify you should put my mod higher up in the list of mods, this will give my mod higher priority and the smoke should appear on the exhaust of the original trucks in the game.
Drunken Aussie 17. apr. kl. 1:22
where should this mod be placed in the mods list?
Drunken Aussie 17. apr. kl. 1:22
@Carlitos the newest beta version

Kinda weird that the smoke still flows when he engine is off. :<
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 11. apr. kl. 6:10
@LumpyLumps, I've just tested it and it's working normally (version 1.54.2.6s).
I suggest testing only with this mod, other mods may be affecting your game experience.
Which version of the game are you testing with?
Drunken Aussie 10. apr. kl. 21:34
doesn't work no more
Carlitos  [ophavsmand] 8. apr. kl. 7:16
@=PgT= Zero_CN_Reaper, thanks for your feedback and suggestion.
=PgT= Zero_CN_Reaper 7. apr. kl. 17:58
It's unfortunate you can't make the 'smoke' exhaust out in timing with the accelerator input.
Maybe looking at the exhaust code for the T-Series in BeamNG Drive would give you a better idea on how to implement that in ATS.

I'm not asking you to do something you aren't all that familiar with, more a suggestion of trying something with an actual reference that ATS doesn't have in coding that another source has, and could potentially give you an idea how to improve what you currently have.:104:
